Timothy from the Beanstalk Land
The Beanstalk Story Continues
A long time ago, in the land of the giants, lived a teenager named Timothy. Several years ago, his Dad chased after a human boy stealing his golden harp, and he never returned home. Well, at least that's what his Mom told anyone who would listen to her, but they never did. So instead, they said that his Dad ran away from home because of her.
Naturally, this made his Mom mad, but she never let them see how angry she was.
Then, one day, in fact, on Timothy's birthday, the year before he became an adult, she sat him down and told him a story. She told him a most fanciful tale. One that he could hardly believe.
She told him that the human boy his Dad ran after had most likely stolen a bag of gold from them, the golden hen that laid golden eggs and the golden harp that used to put him and his Dad to sleep. Then, she told him that on the day he became an adult, it was his responsibility to find out what happened to his Dad and the family heirlooms, and if it was possible, he was to bring them back.
So, with the help of his Mom, Timothy set out to learn as much as he could in preparation for his journey, and the first thing he wanted to know was, what was a human boy? Therefore, to answer this question, his Mom sent him to an ancient giant, someone she said: "knows a lot about many things." So, Timothy went to visit the ancient giant, and after explaining his approaching quest to him, the old giant gave him a cup of tea and told him to listen to him very carefully. So, Timothy did.
The ancient giant said: A very, very, long time ago, long before my grandfather's grandfather was born, giants were falling dead in the streets, and the doctors did not know why. So they tested thousands of our citizens, and the tests showed a particular disease in our blood, and this disease had no cure. So understandably, this caused the entire land to be in an uproar, and they demanded that the scientists do everything and anything to find a cure.
The ancient giant paused as he drank some tea.
He continued: It was then that the country's top scientists decided to enter the human world. You see, the giants always knew about the human world, but it was strictly forbidden to enter it. Anyone found doing so would face death along with their entire family. Therefore, scientists had special permission to enter the human world, and thirty joined it. However, they did not go in our natural form because they thought the humans would be too scared of us, and it would take them longer to find a cure. So instead, they drank a potion that made them look like old adult men.
"Drink up, drink up," the ancient giant said to Timothy.
Timothy, wrapped up in what he was hearing, forgot about the tea in a vast wooden cup in front of him. He drank some.
The ancient giant continued: They entered the human world in pairs of three, and they were scattered all over it, but they stayed in constant contact with each other. They immediately started their research, and they reported many promising results, but nothing was as encouraging as the reports from the three scientists in England. The scientists said they could smell human boys even when they could not see them, and just their smell energized them.
Therefore, they started sneaking into morgues and stealing and sometimes buying boys' bodies who no one would notice had disappeared. They made soup with these bodies, which cured the scientists of the disease. However, they did not know how to get the bodies back to our homeland.
Then, they came up with a plan, and it was to give out magical beans that would grow into beanstalks and reach our homeland. They would give these magic beans to little boys who were destitute, and if they made their way to our land, the citizens were to catch, cook and eat them.
Timothy gasped, and the ancient giant nodded as he continued:
Meanwhile, these scientists were to stay in the human world for no longer than a year and continue to work on a better cure. So, they worked to find a better cure while handing out these magical beans.
Then about ten months into their work, they found a cure, so all of the scientists returned home. Then the still sick giants were treated, which saved our world. Then, all the information surrounding the illness was locked away, and the giants forgot all about it over time.
However, some giants enjoyed eating humans for their dinner, so, with the help of the three scientists stationed in England, they secretly sent giants into the human world. These giants give magical beans to human boys while others find the boys who made it to our land. For generations, this has been secretly taking place. Yes, and from time to time, a giant would report seeing a strange creature, but like you, most of us do not know about human beings.
Timothy talked with the ancient giant a bit longer, and when he left him, he left with a portion that could make him look like a human being.
Subsequently, on the day that Timothy became an adult, he appeared in London, England, and it took him almost eight months, but he finally found Jack, who was living in a palace with his wife and baby boy.
Timothy followed Jack's movements for a couple of weeks, and after realizing that he could not get near to him, he turned his attention to Jack's mother, and he quickly gained access to her through her love of fresh milk. Then, three months into their friendship, Timothy put his plan into action.
Timothy was having tea with Jack's mother in her home when he slipped a drop of truth potion into her tea, and before she knew it, she was telling him the entire story of her son Jack and the Beanstalk.
Then, when Timothy heard of how his father fell to his death, he could not contain himself, and in rage, he pulled a bottle of potion from his pocket and poured it on her long beautiful grey hair and, within seconds, her lovely hair fell onto the tiled floor. She was bald, and the woman fainted.
Timothy cleaned up the hair, placed her in her bed, poured a regrowth potion on her head and left the house.
While she was under the truth potion, Jack's mother revealed to Timothy that the golden hen and the golden harp were in the palace. The strongest and bravest guards in the country were protecting them. Therefore, he realized he would need more time to get his family heirlooms from the palace. However, he did not have a lot more time remaining.
However, the following day, he returned to Jack's mother's home, and as before, was taken to the tearoom, and she was sitting in it.
She told him that she had the most terrible dream. First, she dreamt that he had caused her to lose her hair. Then, when she was grooming her hair earlier, all of it just fell out!
Jack's Mom also told him that she could not wear anything on her head to cover the baldness because whenever she did, she heard, "take it off, take it off, you killed me, you killed me."
Timothy expressed his sympathy at her woes and suggested she seek professionals to look into the situation. They talked some more about her hair, and once again, Timothy slipped another truth potion into her tea.
They continued talking until she'd finished drinking her first cup of tea and excused herself to go to the ladies' room. As she washed her hands, she saw these words in her palms, "I sold and spent stolen coins and golden eggs." She rushed back into the tearoom, yelling, and asking Timothy if he saw the words, but he didn't. Only her eyes saw them.
Timothy left her home shortly afterwards, and he returned the following day to find her sedated by a doctor and lying in her bed. As she lay there with her mouth slightly opened, he dropped a few drops of truth potion into it and left the house. She awoke a few minutes after he left, and for about five minutes, she heard the voice of a harp singing, "stop him if he steals, stop him, stop him, stop him if he steals, stop him, stop him."
So, Timothy returned to his homeland and told his Mom what happened to him and what he did in the human world.
"Well done, my son, well done," his Mom said, giving him one of her big, crooked smiles.
