No one knew what condition their families might be in now. Perhaps they had already lost hope of ever seeing them again.

No one knew what condition their families might be in now. Perhaps they had already lost hope of ever seeing them again.
Adil and Saleem were close friends, but Adil was different from other children. He often saw strange and vivid dreams, and many of them later seemed to come true. One day, Adil told Saleem seriously, “I saw in my dream that today your cat will get injured.” Saleem laughed it off and replied, “It’s not necessary that every dream you see comes true.” Adil fell silent. His friends never fully believed him. They only said that whatever he dreamed happened by coincidence.
Both boys went home and soon forgot about the conversation. That evening, after playing outside, Saleem reached home and was shocked to learn that his cat had been injured in the street after being hit by a speeding motorcycle. Saleem felt deeply ashamed for not believing Adil. He immediately apologized, realizing that Adil’s dreams were not ordinary.
A few days later, the children were excited because their school group was going on a trip to a museum. Adil and Saleem were part of the group. While they were on the way, Adil quietly told Saleem that he had seen another dream. In the dream, there was a key hidden beneath an old stone inside the museum. When they arrived, both boys started looking around carefully. Suddenly, Adil pointed to a stone and said with confidence, “This is the one.”
Together, they moved the stone and found a key buried underneath. The moment Adil picked up the key, a strong storm-like wind began to blow. The principal quickly started calling all the children to gather so no one would get lost. In the chaos, Adil and Saleem began searching for the door that the key belonged to. Soon, they noticed an old, forgotten door on one side of the museum.
As soon as Adil inserted the key, the door opened. They stepped inside, and the door closed automatically behind them. They walked forward, unsure of where the path would lead. As they continued walking, time seemed to pass strangely, and before they realized it, evening had fallen.
They found themselves in a village unlike anything they had seen before. The houses, clothes, and surroundings all felt old-fashioned. They knocked on the door of one house, and a man wearing unusual clothing opened it. He welcomed them inside and began asking questions about where they had come from. When the boys explained everything, the man was astonished and told them that they had traveled a hundred years into the past.
With no way back, Adil and Saleem were forced to stay there. They adjusted to life in the village, but every day they went into the nearby forest, searching for the mysterious door that could take them home. Days turned into months, and months into years. Two long years passed.
One night, Adil saw the door again in his dream. Early the next morning, he excitedly told Saleem. They followed the familiar path through the forest, and there it was—the door standing right in front of them. Overjoyed, they ran toward it. But happiness was mixed with sadness. They wondered what condition their families would be in now. Surely, everyone must have lost hope of their return.
With heavy hearts, they opened the door and stepped through. To their amazement, they found themselves back at the museum. The storm had ended, and the teacher was still gathering the children in one place, just as before. It was as if no time had passed at all. Relieved and grateful, Adil and Saleem quietly joined the group, carrying with them a secret adventure that no one else could ever imagine.
