The World of Sorrows and Pain

An old tales

By Karan w. Published about a year ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, there lived a woodcutter in a village. He was living happily with his wife and three daughters in his small house built on the edge of the forest. But one day his wife died, and his three daughters lost their mother. The woodcutter was very sad after his wife died. He started worrying about his three daughters, so he decided that he would marry again so that his three daughters could get motherly love, and they could be brought up properly. And he got married again after some time. And he had another daughter from her. But his second wife treated his three daughters stepmotherly; she gave them a lot of pain and sorrow, tortured them, and made them do all the household work.

Every order of the stepmother felt like a wound in their hearts; when she served fresh food to her daughter, those three sisters got her leftovers and rotten pieces of bread. Their hungry eyes sometimes looked at each other, but they could only share each other's sorrow. Apart from this, they got only that much food every day, which was enough to keep them alive.

They were not even given food for many days; since their stepmother entered this house, they never tasted fresh food. They always got stale and rotten food.

The love of their stepmother was only for her daughter. Thus, she made the lives of those three poor sisters hell.

Finally, the woodcutter's second wife asked him to leave the three girls somewhere far away, from where they would never return. She also said that if he did not do so, she would commit suicide. Now, what could the poor woodcutter do? So one day, he told his three daughters that he wanted to take them with him to cut wood today. So that they could help him a little in cutting wood. But while cutting wood, it started getting dark and the sun started setting. Then the woodcutter secretly left his three daughters in the same forest and went away from there. Now when the three sisters did not find their father around, a wave of fear ran through their hearts. Now the dark night and scary silence had engulfed the forest. The three sisters, shivering with cold and fear, sat down frightened under a dense tree. They held each other's arms tightly.

But soon they realized that their father was not going to return. They will never return. Fear and worry gripped their hearts, and tears started flowing from their eyes.

Then they heard a voice, "Stop crying my daughters, come to me."

This voice was of their mother, who had died some time ago. So all three of them were shocked to hear that voice, but in this sad and painful time they needed someone's support, "And who could be a bigger support than mother? So they followed the voice and went deeper into the forest. Then they saw a huge palace in front, from where light was coming. They entered the palace following the voice. And their mother was waiting for them with her arms outstretched, "As soon as they went, all three of them hugged their mother tightly. All three of them closed their eyes and started crying, but when they opened their eyes there was no one there.

But that huge and grand palace was now theirs. But she was very sad not to find her mother there; she always remained sad. But one day, their mother came into the eldest sister's dream and said to her, "My dear daughter, you must take care of your both sisters. I will never come back. You three live here happily. No one will trouble you here."

From then on, the three sisters lived there happily. Their father later tried a lot to find them but he never found them.

One day the prince got lost while hunting in the forest, and a wild bear chased him, but the three sisters saved his life. In return, the king got the prince married to the eldest sister. And the three of them lived happily.

Beautiful Story. Despite my old age, I feel as I read your stories that I am not more than ten years old. This is beautiful, and I take it back to my childhood. BRAVOO.

All the sisters hearing their mother's voice in the worst and most needed time; Heartwarming... Old tales used to be so much fun 💖 The eldest daughter getting married to a prince? It was a part of what she deserved 🤝✨ Sometimes, I feel like we're living in a life full of rush; hustle and bustle everywhere... I miss old times... I mean even my childhood was so much fun... Playing with my cousins, pretending to be guests, and then helping other cousins build their 'car garage' were good days. I feel like we're missing out on a lot. Thank you for your tale... It flashed before me, my childhood 💖
