The Woman in the Coffee Shop
Sometimes ignorance really IS bliss...
Every day Charlie walks down Main Street, hardly paying attention to her surroundings. Today, she glanced through the window of a nearly empty coffee shop and came to a halt, seeing something bizarre.
Gawking at her was a woman who was her exact doppelganger! She rushed through the door to confront the woman and looked around confused at the now-empty shop.
Charlie looked out the window, and her jaw dropped in shock. Seeing everything that had happened seconds before, repeating itself. Frightened by whatever was happening, she fled through a door, trying to escape the inevitable.

Aunt Faye was determined to see Elvis, even if it meant making a fool of herself. So when she heard the King was performing at the county fair, she went into a state of adrenaline-induced panic. First thing she did was go down to Dalke’s Drug Store and load up on loud lipstick, eyeliner, makeup, and a bottle of cheap perfume. Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
