The Witch, The Dragon, and The Orphan (Chapter 2)

I hope Christopher Paolini is fascinated by my entry I really want to meet him.

His reply to me was huge surprise, I always thought that Tarren had a crush on Gemma, or Miranda. That's why I never spoke up about how I feel about him.

"Ronnie I don't want to teleport to our spot to hang out, I want us to walk there."

As we walk to our spot the smell of fresh forest around us made me respect nature even more.

With a flick of my figure purple sparks of magick comes out as I exercise my craft with wave of my fingers swaying back and forth.

Swaying like the ocean waves against the rocks.

That's the way magick works, with nature, and pure intent.

"So, why are we walking to our spot all alone?"

"Uh, because, I want to speak to you where we first met last year."

As he speaks these words my mind flashes back to that perfect moment.

That moment when you know that something will happen.

The special moment both of us met was during the Full Moon Rite for the next generation of Lykos. The moment we stood together alone just staring at each other for so long. Felt like we were the only ones on the isle. The past not defining me, being raced by Fumra the Adored. The famous Dragon all orphans know throughout the realm.

"What are you going to do?"

"That's a surprise but I promise you it will be special I have something I want to ask you."

After the long walk to our spot it took almost forever and I grew so impatient.

As I sit down under our willow tree he sits beside of me the anticipation getting the better of me.

"Ronnie I've asked you to come here to speak with you. I want us to be together."

I gasp to his words, "Tarren? I, I don't know what to say." I stutter the words.

"You can't tell me you don't feel our connection that I can't explain."

"I can't explain this either but what of Gemma, or Miranda."

He stares at me with confusion, "Gemma and Miranda? We aren't together anymore. Why would you bring them up to me?"

I couldn't say to him they confronted me with lies, but as always he could bring the truth out of me.

"Gemma and Miranda separately told me you are together with them a few weeks ago."

"The truth is Ronnie I don't like them, they're only friends."

How did this turn of events even happen? My best friend is single and has been for a long time time. The two twits lied to me probably so they could have him for themselves.

Ew, on that image.

"To answer your question you have I do feel our connection together Tarren."

As he scoots closer to me I feel his arms as if by accident wrap around me. I could feel the warmth of his skin touch mine, for some reason it didn't feel wrong feeling this.

His palm touches my cheek, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

My words spoke the truth, "Yes, I will."

I didn't know what to say, all my life when Mom would take to the Forest of Prim she would encourage me to speak to Tarren, I think she knew I had a strong connection to him before I did.

Thank you for reading everyone, leave a heart, a comment, and a tip if you want. Please check out chapter 3 of this tale. I am nervous because I really want to win first place. I hope this short will stand out to Christopher Paolini. Christopher if you are reading this right now I hope you name me the first place winner.
