“I’ve got to stop doing this.” says Tom, as he throws up into the toilet at a bar.

Tom hears knocking from someone trying to get inside the bathroom. He throws up once more then quickly cleans up before leaving. He puts his winter coat and hat on, says goodbye to his friends, then leaves. Too buzzed to drive, he figured he would just walk the mile or so to his house from the bar. About half way there he notices a strange humming noise and a flashing green light off into the distance. He stops to get a glimpse of the source of this light, but it is too far to see what it could be. The strange hum suddenly ceased, as all of the street lights flickered in unison until they all shut off. Tom stood there for a few seconds for the street lights to turn back on, but they didn’t. He pulls out his phone to use the flashlight and notices that his phone had no service.

“Strange” he thought. Tom turns on the flashlight feature on his phone and continues his walk home.

A few blocks later, Tom’s anxiety begins to intensify as he feels that he is not alone. Still about a quarter mile from his home he decides to check his phone again for service. Maybe he can call his mother to help ease his anxiety, but still no connection. Even worse, he notices that the battery is at ten percent.

“Hopefully it’s enough to get me home” he whispered under his breath.

All of a sudden a flash of green light from above blinds him as he feels the ground at his feet no longer. He begins to lose consciousness while the bright light carries his weightless body into the daunting, unidentified aircraft. Slowly regaining consciousness, Tom tried to open his eyes and wake up but all he saw was white. He felt his arms and legs were bound to a cold, hard metal surface as he tried to move around. With sweat dripping from his brow and his heart pounding with fear he screams out for help. To worsen his fear he looks up to see three large beings staring down at him. They were grey and hairless. They also had huge black eyes and wore white gowns. He could hear them speaking words and sounds he had never heard before.

“What is this?” He yelled in anger, “Why am I here?.” No answer is given as the beings continue to speak in their alien dialect.

Continuing to struggle, Tom looks around to get a sense of where he is but, all he sees is a completely white room. There was not even a door, nor a window. The only things in the room were the beings, him on a cold metal table, and a machine that hangs over the table with thousands of surgical instruments.

“What is this!?” He yelled again as he continues to try and unbind himself from the straps. “Why are you doing this, please let me go!” He begs.

At this moment two more beings teleport into the room, as if they were fading into the room. One of them walking right up to Tom and stared directly in his eyes.

“Please just let me go! Please God!” He cries as he feels his heart nearly go into cardiac arrest.

With their faces cold and apathetic, they continued to discuss what they had planned for Tom. One more teleports in, but this one was different. This one was more reptilian like. The other beings moved away from the table where Tom was lying. The being inspected the machine and takes a glance at Tom.

“Are you ready?” Said the being to Tom.

Tom is paralyzed with fear as they did not move their lips to speak to Tom. From the machine the being grabs a mask attached to a hose. A slight hissing is heard as Tom feels the gas touch his lips. His mouth felt dry, but his palms were drenched in sweat. He pictured his mother telling him she loved him as he took his last waking breath with the roaring sound of the machine fading away.
