FIRST FLIGHT
Bryan Clark led the way, enveloped in what seemed to be a perfectly natural (to him) blaze, leaving little flame trails in his dust. Adam and Ellis Eve, the twins, were translucent images of their human states, thereby seeming so much lighter; and, either way, it just looked cool to see them flying about as little more than phantoms. Angela Riese (aptly enough, given her beauty and majesty) had sprouted angel wings. A falcon always soaring near her immediate vicinity added to her aura of majesty. Corey Gould seemed to be made of gold and had adopted a golden platform to buzz around on. Vance Artex's lower body had seemed to disappear into a twister that didn't even disturb his stupid cowboy hat to remind us of his place of origins (as if his cringey accent didn't give him away). Then there was me; a homely, portly sixteen-year-old highschool sophomore who's class's highest social castes always did equate to (aptly enough) a blimp.

I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"

“The rainbow has such a beautiful tint to it. The colors permeate into my very soul.” “What do you mean permeate?” “The red seeps into my skin with anger, enjoyment, love, and life. Red is a strong color that makes me dance inside with desire. It gives me the energy of love but says hello I am dangerous. It brings excitement. Makes your heart rate go up quickly and can contribute to arousal in ourselves. Red stresses the intensity of the positive and negative thoughts that corrode our very being. Red prompts quicker decisions in us that can be rash decisions at times. In Africa red can symbolize mourning and death of life.”
