At 27 years old Elias Milton Samuels was a very interesting fellow. He had constantly found himself amazed at his own self for his life feats and accomplishments. And here he was living a life that was already very similar to his dreams. Never mind how Elias became the head of an entire university research department, since he received the opportunity he had achieved excellent results.

The first years were shaky but his fruit fly labs had high engagement from the students on campus, the highest engagement of any research department. Elias and his associates would constantly argue and reason with one another over how many applicants to allow into the program each semester. Elias and the other research department head wanted to create a culture of elite and ambitious students coming aboard.

The other lead researcher was only interested in money and receiving more funding for their lab and the more students enrolled, the more funding the department would have. A true scientist would've had in mind research equipment and better facilities, BUT all Beatrice Armillo cared about was the status. Beatrice was a very intelligent woman but her weakness for designer handbags, sunglasses, and shoes pushed her to behave irrationally around new student application time.

This was the case a few years ago, but Elias now at 27 realized that women like Beatrice certainly ALWAYS get their way. Elias knew that avoiding Beatrice's unique and perceptive abilities to control all situations, was a waste of energy. Even though Elias had the final say on the decision it always seemed more intelligent to him to be sure that Beatrice was indeed satisfied by his decision. Needless to say, Beatrice had used her influence over Elias to build a luxury research facility filled with the best equipment. Beatrice was also always seen in the latest and hottest trends even driving a brand new future vehicle that was top of the market.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Elias was using his ENTIRE salary to fund his own side-project of traveling around and building support for his MPP theory. It was honestly a wasted effort, not to mention the expenses, Elias loved to eat several meals on his travels. He also used too much money checking into hotel rooms near the presentations to avoid wallowing in self-pity in a vehicle. After over six months of using all his spare time and all his own money to spread the MPP message, he was almost ready to give up. After tireless effort, all he had gotten was laughs, rude comments, and a negative bank balance. Mostly because he had overextended himself financially, Elias gave up traveling and sharing his MPP theory.

Things take a turn for Elias three days later when Beatrice has to pick up the lunch bill for Elias after he had his card DECLINED three times at lunch! This immediately infuriates Beatrice and she makes it her life mission to discover what secrets Elias could be hiding.

Beatrice knows that Elias has a similar salary to hers so the question of how has Elias become moneyless consumes Beatrice's mind. She has known very little of Elias personally despite having worked together for a few years now. They were viewed on the campus and around the nation in the correct scientific circles, as the perfect team. They were both held in high esteem for turning their research department into a crown jewel!

Beatrice had offered expertise to progress the department financially in ways that got attention, but the way Elias had turned fruit fly genetic research into the highly sought after research department on campus was just as impressive. Beatrice decided to use her department power to call an executive meeting to grill Elias one on one. Beatrice had seen several hours of daytime detective television, and she was prepped and ready to extract Elias's darkest secret.

After sending an email to arrange an individual meeting with Elias, Beatrice began to imagine busting Elias like the stone-cold detective she had watched on TV so often. Beatrice had grown to idolize Fiona Fox from the detective drama Fiona the Fox! Fionna is a fictional character that after being outed by her own unwitting husband, her cover as a wife and artist is blown all at once. The spy detective then has to go rogue and be successful at a series of high-level interrogations to solve her own murder before it happens! Beatrice could not wait to turn into her idol and find out what Elias has been up to.

Elias sees an urgent message from Beatrice that is requesting an individual executive meeting with only him! Elias immediately gets nervous that he has been discovered for his secret free time endeavors. He wonders how to cancel, without being too suspicious. Elias begins to consider that he could just come clean first thing and try to make out with a warning.

Technically Elias was not breaking any code of conduct rules by using his free time and his personal time to extrapolate his work accomplishments. Maybe he could use her shallow need for purses as common ground and admit that he himself wished to be more than research department head but he wished to become a notable scientist. Could Beatrice understand his dream is all Elias could wonder?

All of Beatrices's preparation was for naught. At the time and location of the meeting, Beatrice was waiting, thoughtfully and intensely. She had readjusted her outfit as well as applied lipstick in the same fashion as her idol. She had been imagining...
