The story of the Assassin Riven
The phantom of vengeance the shinobi of Bloodlust

Once upon a time, there whispered a forgotten tale of an ancient curse on a man. This story, veiled in secrecy and shrouded by time, faded into the dim mists of history. Its origins trace back to the year 2,090 BC, it lurked deep in the mountains of china underneath a secret door inside a chamber locked inside a mystical mountain. Locked within a fortress of stone, this manuscript remained a prisoner, it has been locked for many years hidden from public.
Chapter 1 begins The child of blood
To unravel the mystery of this arcane curse, one must journey into the depths of the legend of Retsu, the Child of Blood. Born amidst a torrent of crimson blood that could be the size of 10 gallons there was blood constantly emitting from the child it had nothing to do with the mother nor wasn’t the baby injured it was just blood coming from his body as a substance it never seemed to end until it finally stopped, Retsu entered the world with eyes ablaze in fiery red in his pupils. Legend has it that as an infant, he wailed with a chorus of voices. From this crimson tide of blood emerged a sinister, shadowy entity, which introduced the child to the family.
“This child,” it declared, “is the reincarnation of Riven, the spirit of vengeance, destined to confront the malevolent reign of the Eclipse Emperor, Eclipto. He shall be reviled as a monstrous demon, shunned by society and all who dwell within it. To conceal his identity, he shall don a mask of black and red, veiling his features beneath a hood symbolizing the power of the child of blood. His path leads to the ancient Temple of Shadows, where he shall hone his innate abilities in the art of combat — gifts bestowed upon him by his bloodline, fated to be mastered. Beware, Hiano and Kenji, for you have been forewarned.”
As the shadowy apparition vanished into the nothing, leaving the perplexed parents to ponder their fate, they were left with haunting questions. “What must we do now?” they wondered. “How could this have come to pass?”
Seven years had slipped by, ushering Retsu into his seventh year — a time marked not only by his formal education but also by his initiation into the ancient arts taught at the revered Temple of Shadows, known simply as the Dojo.
One serene afternoon, bathed in the gentle glow of the setting sun, Retsu found himself surrounded by a group of older boys, their mocking taunts piercing the tranquility of the moment. “How are you doing, freak?” they sneered, their words laced with malice as they closed in on him.
In the midst of this confrontation, a small figure emerged — a girl named Himari, her presence a beacon of courage in the face of adversity. Though only seven years old, she stood steadfast beside Retsu, her unwavering support lending him strength.
Undeterred by their tender years, the bullies pressed on, their aggression intensifying with each passing moment and pushed Himari away. In a moment of desperation pushed critically, Retsu entered a trance-like state, his eyes glowing with an unearthly fire — the same crimson hue he had shown when he was born — as a latent power surged within him. With a burst of energy, he repelled his attackers, his wounds healing miraculously before his very eyes.
As the chaos subsided and calm returned to the scene, Retsu found himself snapped back to reality, his memory of the event shrouded in confusion. Turning to Himari, he sought answers, his voice trembling with uncertainty as he questioned the events that had just transpired.
As the commotion escalated, Retsu’s parents and the parents of the bullies arrived, their voices rising in heated arguments. The tension thickened, and in the aftermath of the chaos, Retsu found himself expelled from school. It was a harsh blow, one that left him reeling from the injustice of it all.
Meanwhile, Himari grappled with her own turmoil. Unable to bear the thought of losing Retsu, she contemplated resigning from school altogether. Concerned for their daughter’s well-being, Himari’s parents sought counsel from Hiano and Kenji, hoping to find a solution that would ease her distress.
After much critical thinking, a decision was reached — Himari would join Retsu as a student at the Temple of Shadows, under the guidance of an ancient sage named Aki. Together, they would train alongside other students, honing their skills and mastering the art of combat.
As Retsu and Himari were welcomed into the dojo, their journey of training and discovery set to begin.
As the turmoil unfolded in the mortal realm, a shadow loomed over the Emperor Eclipto’s throne room this shadow minion was spying on the incident. This small shadow figure was collecting data and teleported to Eclipto’s throne. His empire, cloaked in the shadows of his dominion, trembled at the mere whisper of his name.
One of his loyal spies, a silent observer in the shadows, had borne witness to the confrontation between Retsu and the bullies. In the quiet depths of the night, the spy approached the emperor, delivering news that would send ripples through the darkness.
“Master,” the spy murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, “it seems Riven has returned.”
Eclipto’s eyes narrowed, a flicker of interest dancing across his features. “Ah, Riven,” he mused, his voice echoing with the weight of centuries past. “Such a long time indeed. I wonder, will this power that I now carry contradict the prophecy — a power akin to that of a god of destruction?”
The air grew heavy with anticipation as Eclipto contemplated the implications of Riven’s return. In the depths of his fortress, amidst the whispers of his shadowy court, the emperor awaited the unfolding of a destiny long foretold.
