The song of the Cardinal

Living beyond constriction

By Sara CPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

The snowy landscape stretched out before her, a canvas of white beauty. The silence of the landscape enveloped her, calming her mind. She had come here to escape. Every step she took left an imprint in the snow, marking her presence as she walked. She reveled in the ruggedness of the terrain, the untamed wildness of nature. It was a contrast to her own life.

As she walked, deeply lost in her thoughts, a tiny glimmer caught her eye. She followed the sparkle until she reached a small clearing. There, nestled among the messy branches of a pine tree, was a small red cardinal. Its vibrant plumage stood out against the monochromatic landscape, like a burst of color. The bird chirped, its song breaking the silence, and she felt a surge of joy. It was as if the cardinal appeared to remind her that even in the midst of desolation, there is beauty and hope.

In that moment, she realized that much like the transformation of the snowy landscape; she too had the power to change. She could shed the burdens that weighed her down and embrace the freedom of the unknown. With a newfound determination, she decided. She would return to her life with a renewed sense of purpose. The snow showed her the way, guiding her down a path of self-discovery and growth.

As she left the landscape, she carried the memory of the red cardinal and the transformative power of the winter's embrace.
