"I knew they would come out with a robot snowblower eventually. Alright, I hate shoveling snow and I hate the cold, period. I don't like pushing a snow blower, although it beats shoveling."
I was right on it, and I ordered mine, and I picked it up at the local home improvements store. It was truly a dream come true. But was it? There is always a but. I love technology, but there is always a but, or a challenge or getting the bugs out, however, my hate of shoveling and my dislike of the cold, convinced me to give it a try.
I bundled up and drove to my local home improvement store, and loaded it in my vehicle. I told myself,"What's the worst that could happen?"
I charged the battery, and then it was ready to go.
I programmed it and with a push of a couple buttons, it was off and running."
"Whoa, come back here, you stupid snow blower. Sorry sir, it seems this robot snowblower, has a mind of its own."
"Are you going to pay for the damage, it has done to my parked vehicle?"
"Yes, sir, let me give you my name and phone number, and I will pay for the damages."
"Keep your snowblower under control Mister!"
From that moment on, I gave this machine a name. I will call him Sam. I figured if he was human enough to get into an accident, and hit a car, he deserved a name.
I decided to give "Sam," one more try, after all anyone could have an accident, and I figured Sam was no different.
I started Sam up again, and he took off like a bat out of hell. "Help, get out of the way everyone, Sam is out of control."
Everyone on the street, many of them shoveling snow, looked at me, like who is is hollering at? That is until Sam hit a man shoveling snow, and knocked him down.
"I am sorry sir, are you hurt?"
"I don't think so, as he brushed the snow off of his coat, you need to keep your snowblower under control."
I mumbled to myself, "Haven't I heard that somewhere else today?" At least this time it wasn't going to cost me anything, monetarily.
So I argued with myself, about giving Sam another try, versus taking him, and cleaning him off, and returning him back to the store, and my fear of the shovel, won out. What I meant by the fear of the shovel, I meant my laziness of not wanting to do the same thing the man was doing when Sam knocked him down. -"Shoveling Snow."
So I fired Sam up again, but before I let him loose again, I checked the programming in him, and I noticed my error, and I said to myself, "Oh that must have been it, and decided Sam really did deserve another try, it was my fault for programming him wrong."
So I made a few adjustments, and pushed a few buttons, and off Sam went again. This time he absolutely flew, and the man Sam knocked down, flew backwards to get out of the way of the flying snowblower, aka Sam. I was running as fast as I could after Sam, slipping and sliding on the snow and ice.
This time Sam found a victim, in a ten year old boy, that was sledding down the sidewalk. Sam approached him, and like he wanted the sled the boy was on, and pushed him off the sled, and Sam, proceeded to climb up on the sled. The power Sam had propelled the sled down the sidewalk, and into the street, at the crosswalk.
That left the boy screaming, "Someone stole my sled, and knocked me down!"
I was still running, slipping and sliding, and by the time I reached the boy, the man with the car that Sam hit, and the man Sam pushed down, had all reached the boy, and was offering assistance.
When I reached the boy, all he could say, " If you wanted the sled that bad, you didn't have to send your snowblower after me?"
As far as the other two men were concerned, they were pointing fingers at me, and saying, "He did it!"

Hahaha - very funny especially when Sam stole the sled and careened down the hill. A much better way to get rid of snow, if one can convince Sam to settle down! 🤣
Sam the snowblower is officially my favorite chaotic appliance. 😂
Great combination of styles for the challenge
