The Shadow Beyond the Door
A Chilling Tale of Fear, Mystery, and Survival

In the small town of Ravenshollow, the people whispered about an abandoned mansion at the edge of the forest: Blackthorn Manor. It had not been lived in for decades. Strange sounds, fleeting shadows, and a door that no one dared to open were all rumored.
A young, spirited journalist-Evelyn-could not let that opportunity slip away. With a camera and recorder in hand, she stepped into the mansion on that cold, moonless night.
The air was thick inside, heavy with the scent of decay. The wooden floors creaked under her footsteps as she made her way down the great hallways. Then she saw it-the door. Unlike the rest of the mansion, this door was pristine, carved with intricate patterns of twisting vines. It seemed to pulse faintly, as if alive.
Evelyn's heart was pounding, and she reached for the handle. A cold shiver ran down her spine. Was it fear, or was it something more? She took a deep breath and turned the handle.
The door creaked open, revealing a dark void. It wasn't a room but an endless expanse of nothingness. As she stepped closer, a faint whisper echoed, calling her name.
Suddenly, the shadows twisted around her, coalescing into a monstrous figure; its hollow eyes and jagged teeth seemed to mock her bravery. Evelyn screamed, stumbling backward, but the creature would give her no quarter.
What happened next is anyone's guess. Her camera was found the following morning on the outskirts of the woods, the footage distorted and grim. Evelyn was never heard from again, but in Ravenshollow, whispers began to grow louder. Many spoke of hearing her voice coming from Blackthorn Manor, warning others not to enter.
Yet, it is the door that still stands today, awaiting the next person who dares to come inside.
