The Search for Destiny

In a village, there lived a young man who constantly dreamed of becoming rich. His desire for wealth never left his mind. To fulfill this ambition, he moved to a city for work, but he was never satisfied with his earnings. He wanted something that would change his fate overnight. However, he was a bit lazy and spent most of his time daydreaming about big dreams.

One day, he went to a sage and shared his story, asking, Sage Maharaj, please tell me, where is my destiny

The sage understood that the young man was lazy and wanted to become rich without making any effort. After observing him for a while, the sage said, Son, your destiny is not here. It lies beyond the ocean. To find it, you must travel across the sea.

Without any delay, the young man set out on his journey to claim his destiny. He crossed mountains, rivers, and after a long journey, he reached a beautiful meadow with a flowing waterfall. He drank water from the waterfall and lay down on the lush green grass.

As soon as he lay down, he fell asleep. When he woke up after a long rest, he saw a beautiful girl standing nearby. She asked, Where are you going

The young man replied, I am searching for my destiny.

The girl smiled and said, I, too, am waiting for my destiny. I cannot find a suitable match for marriage. If you come across my fate, please ask when I will get married.

I will surely ask and let you know on my way back. But where will I find you the young man asked.

I will be right here, the girl replied.

He continued his journey and soon saw a magnificent horse standing alone. Looking at the horse, he thought, If only I had such a horse, I would reach the ocean’s shore in no time.

Just then, the horse approached him and asked, Young man, who are you, and where are you going

The young man replied, I am a wanderer, searching for my destiny.

Hearing this, the horse sighed, Brother, I am also unfortunate. I have no rider. If you find my destiny, please ask when I will get a rider.

The young man agreed and moved ahead. Soon, he came across a large but half-withered tree. He sat under it to rest.

The tree spoke to him, Traveler, where are you headed You seem very tired.

The young man answered, Yes, I have traveled far. I am crossing the ocean to find my destiny.

The tree sighed, That is wonderful, brother. I cannot walk, or I would have joined you. Look at me, half of my body has dried up. Please ask my fate when I will be green again.

After traveling for a long time, the young man finally reached the ocean’s edge, where he saw a crocodile groaning in pain.

When the crocodile heard about his journey, he was delighted and said, Brother, please find out about my fate too. I suffer from a terrible stomach ache. I cannot eat or drink anything.

The young man replied, Take me across the ocean, and I will surely ask for you.

The crocodile agreed, and the young man rode on its back to cross the ocean. After much wandering, he finally met a sage on the other side. He told the sage everything and asked about his destiny.

The sage smiled and said, Son, your destiny has always been with you. You have undertaken a long journey, faced hardships, and made efforts that itself is your destiny.

The young man was confused. I understand that my fate is with me, but what about the people I met on the way The beautiful girl, the horse, the tree, and the crocodile where is their destiny

The sage explained, Listen carefully, son. The crocodile swallowed the queen’s priceless necklace, which is causing its pain. Tell it to vomit, and it will be cured. The tree has treasure buried beneath its roots, which is causing it to wither. Dig out the treasure, and the tree will thrive again. The horse is incomplete without a rider, and the girl is incomplete without a groom.

After hearing this, the young man bowed to the sage and began his journey back.

When he reached the ocean, he instructed the crocodile to vomit, and a priceless necklace emerged. The crocodile’s pain vanished, and the young man kept the necklace.

At the tree’s roots, he dug out the hidden treasure, and the tree turned green once again. Taking the wealth, he moved forward.

The horse was still wandering in search of a rider. The young man mounted the horse, and the horse finally found its rider.

Finally, he reached the meadow and proposed to the beautiful girl. She smiled and accepted.

The young man returned to his home, riding the horse, with the girl by his side and wealth in his hands. His destiny had always been within his grasp he only had to take action to claim it.
