Some people leave the light on because they’re scared of the dark.

I leave mine on… just in case someone finally comes home.

I almost told you.

That I missed you.

That I still check your name.

But almost doesn't change anything, does it?

I talk to the sky sometimes.

Not because I expect an answer.

But because the clouds feel closer than the people I lost.

She’s gone.

But the way she said my name still echoes in the hallway.

Some people leave.

But their voice… it stays.

Some memories don’t fade.

They just get quieter.

Like music playing in another room.

You can’t stop it… but you don’t really want to.
