"I promise to love you forever," he said, as they stood on the beach, watching the sunset.
"I promise to always be there for you," she replied, her eyes locked with his.
As the years went by, their love only grew stronger. They faced challenges, but they faced them together. They laughed, they cried, they celebrated. And through it all, they kept their promise.
On their 50th anniversary, they sat together, holding hands. "I still love you as much as the day we met," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
"And I you," she replied, tears in her eyes.
And with that, they closed their eyes, knowing that their love would endure beyond this lifetime.
