With the engineers on break, they started a pot with just a few dollars.

“I say we won’t be able to produce a machine that will learn as fast or faster than the previous model,” Anna Chang said.

“The pot gets bigger,” Rakim Byers remarked.

They had all been working on the next generation of machines and had come to an impasse. It was like adding horsepower to a hotrod. Except in this case, they added more data.

“According to Moore’s Law—” Calton Givens started.

“I know,” Anna remarked. “You’re going to speak of the advancements. I doubt them all.”
