The Picture Game, also known as "The Picture Game Ritual," is a paranormal ritual designed to capture images of spirits or entities. Participants in this ritual attempt to photograph ghosts or other supernatural beings that may be present in their surroundings. The game is played by using a camera to take pictures in complete darkness, and it's said that spirits may reveal themselves in the images taken.

This ritual can be both thrilling and dangerous, as opening a gateway to the spirit world comes with risks. Improper execution or disrespect during the ritual can invite malevolent entities, so it is crucial to follow the steps carefully.

What You Will Need:

At Least Two Participants. Playing alone is not recommended, as the ritual requires multiple individuals to safely complete it; A Camera with a Flash. Avoid using camera phones, as they are considered less effective in capturing spirits; A Mirror. preferably one that can stand upright or be placed securely in a central location; A Cord or String. Use this to create a circle around the group. The circle is meant to provide protection and keep spirits at bay. A rope or yarn can also work; A Small Object of Sentimental Value. This helps strengthen the connection between the participants and the spirit world; A Candle. A white candle, symbolizing protection and light, should be placed in the center of the circle; Matches or a Lighter; A Clock or Watch.

Rules:

Never Break the Circle; If it is broken, the spirits may be able to harm you.

Do Not Leave the Game Unfinished; Leaving the game without closing it could invite spirits into your life.

Do Not Taunt or Disrespect the Spirits; Provoking spirits can result in malevolent entities lashing out.

Preparation:

Choose a Quiet, Dark Room; Make sure the room can be completely dark.

Set Up the Mirror; It should be able to reflect the entire group during the ritual.

Create a Protective Circle; Use the cord or string to create a circle around the group. Each participant must sit inside the circle, making sure the string forms an unbroken line. The mirror should be inside the circle as well, and the candle should be placed near it.

Place Your Sentimental Objects; Each participant must place their personal item around the mirror, forming a small ring of objects

Light the Candle; Once the candle is lit, turn off all other lights in the room.

Playing the Game:

Sit in Silence for One Minute; Use this time to focus on the ritual and your intention to contact the spirits. knnnAfter the minute of silence, all participants should take turns saying aloud: "I trust you. Please come." This invitation is meant to summon any spirits present in the room to reveal themselves.

Begin Taking Pictures:

After the spirits have been invited, one participant should pick up the camera and point it toward the mirror. The mirror serves as a portal, and it is believed that spirits are more likely to appear in reflections.

Turn off the camera's flash and then immediately take a picture of the mirror using the flash. Each participant should take one picture and pass the camera clockwise around the circle.

As each person takes their picture, be sure to stay inside the protective circle and remain quiet. Continue taking turns until each participant has taken at least three pictures.

During the ritual, you may notice changes in the room’s atmosphere, such as a sudden coldness, strange sounds, or the feeling of being watched. Stay calm and focused—these are signs that spirits may be present.

Do Not Look at the Pictures During the Ritual. Wait until after the game has ended to review the images.

Ending the Game:

When everyone has taken their pictures, you must close the ritual to ensure no spirits remain in the room. To do this, each participant must say aloud: "I thank you for your presence, but now you must leave."

Say this politely, but firmly. Make sure all participants say the closing phrase to ensure the spirits leave.

Blow Out the Candle. This signifies the end of the ritual and the closing of the connection between you and the spirit world.

Break the Circle. Only do this after the game has been formally ended.

Check the Pictures. Some players claim to have captured eerie figures, shadowy shapes, or glowing orbs in the images, while others may find strange distortions in the mirror’s reflection.

After the Ritual:

Keep the Pictures. It is advised to keep the photos, though be careful of what you may discover in them. If you do not wish to keep them, you should dispose of them respectfully (some versions recommend burying them). Cleansing the Space. This can be done by using salt, sage, or holy water to ensure that no lingering spirits remain.

NOTE:

Never Play the Game Multiple Times in One Night. Playing multiple times in one night could weaken the protective circle and invite more dangerous entities. Do Not Break the Circle. If the protective circle is broken at any point during the game, spirits may be able to enter the circle and harm you. Do Not Taunt the Spirits. Always be respectful and maintain a serious tone throughout the ritual. Spirits May Follow You. If you experience unusual occurrences, consider cleansing your space with salt, sage, or another purification ritual.

The Picture Game Ritual is an eerie and suspenseful way to attempt to capture images of spirits. It is essential to follow the steps carefully and treat the ritual with respect. While the game may offer an intriguing glimpse into the supernatural, it comes with risks—so proceed with caution.
