The Pashtun Farmer's Legacy
A Story of Forgiveness, Kindness, and Generosity in the Pashtun Community
Once upon a time, in a small village located in the heart of the mountains, there was a farmer named Abdullah. Abdullah was a kind-hearted man who always wished for his son's success. He had only one son, Ali, who was studying in high school, and he wanted him to become a successful lawyer. Abdullah worked hard every day in his fields, hoping that one day he would be able to give his son the best education and a good life.
One day, while Abdullah was working in his fields, he started to feel hungry. He decided to walk back to his home to eat something. On his way back, he heard the tragic news that his son Ali had been shot by someone anonymous. Abdullah couldn't believe his ears; he ran back to his home as fast as he could. When he reached his home, he found his wife and daughter crying. They told him that Ali had been taken for postmortem.
Abdullah was devastated; he had lost his only son. He couldn't understand why anyone would want to harm his innocent child. The pain was unbearable; he felt as if his heart had been ripped out of his chest. He sat there for hours, crying and praying for his son's soul.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Abdullah's wife opened the door, and a man stood there, asking for shelter. He told them that he had fired someone unexpectedly and was now scared for his life. Abdullah's wife asked him to come in, and they gave him shelter for the night.
Later that night, the man told Abdullah that the person he had fired was Ali. Abdullah was shocked and angry, but he knew that it was not the culture of Pashtuns to harm a guest. So, he assured the man that he would not harm him and that he was safe in their house.
The next morning, the man thanked Abdullah for his kindness and left. Abdullah was left alone with his grief, but he had learned an important lesson. He realized that forgiveness was a powerful thing and that holding grudges would only make his pain worse. He knew that he had to move on and find a way to honor his son's memory.
Abdullah decided to start a scholarship fund in Ali's name, so that other young Pashtuns could have the opportunity to achieve their dreams. He worked hard and saved every penny he could to fund the scholarship. Slowly but surely, the scholarship fund grew, and many young Pashtuns were able to attend school and achieve their dreams.
Years passed, and Abdullah grew old. He knew that his time was near, and he wanted to make sure that the scholarship fund would continue after he was gone. He called his wife and daughter to his bedside and told them of his plan. He asked them to continue the scholarship fund in his honor and to keep his legacy alive.
Abdullah passed away peacefully, knowing that his son's memory would live on through the scholarship fund. His wife and daughter carried on his legacy, and the scholarship fund grew even larger. It helped many young Pashtuns achieve their dreams, just as Abdullah had wanted.
Years passed, and the village prospered. It became known for its successful lawyers, doctors, and engineers. The scholarship fund had made a huge impact on the community, and everyone knew of Abdullah's kindness and generosity. His family was proud of his legacy and continued to honor his memory by helping others.
One day, a young man came to the village seeking help. He was from a neighboring village and had heard of the scholarship fund. He wanted to attend school and become a lawyer, just like Ali had wanted. Abdullah's wife and daughter welcomed him with open arms and helped him apply for the scholarship.
The young man was accepted, and he worked hard in school. He studied day and night, determined to make the most of the opportunity he had been given. He graduated with honors and became a successful lawyer.
Years later, the young man returned to the village. He wanted to thank Abdullah's family for the scholarship and for helping him achieve his dreams. He was amazed at how the village had changed and how many successful people had come from it.
He went to the cemetery where Abdullah and Ali were buried and said a prayer for them. He knew that without Abdullah's kindness and the scholarship fund, he would never have been able to achieve his dreams.
As he walked back to his home, he realized something. He had been a stranger in the village, but Abdullah's family had welcomed him with open arms. They had helped him achieve his dreams, just as they had helped so many others.
He knew that he had a responsibility to continue Abdullah's legacy, to help others just as he had been helped. And so, he started a scholarship fund of his own, to honor Abdullah's memory and to help other young Pashtuns achieve their dreams.
And so, the legacy of Abdullah the farmer continued, through the kindness and generosity of his family and those whose lives he had touched. His story served as an inspiration to many, reminding them of the power of forgiveness, kindness, and generosity.
