The Outlaw's Tango

Galactic Showdown at The Void's End

By Joe SebehPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Under the twin moons of a desolate planet, where the shimmering light mingled with the remnants of untamed territories, Jack Slade, a weathered outlaw with a defiant attitude and a trusty weapon at his side, sauntered into the infamous establishment known as The Void's End.

The air charged with anticipation as Jack's eyes scanned the room; his target, the notorious Redeye Rick, was rumored to be held up in the darkest corner. The reward for his capture was large, rivaling the brilliance of the suns in the galaxy, and Slade was determined to collect it.

As Jack approached, the air grew still, the low hum of Alien chatter silenced, and the clinking of glasses stilled. Redye Rick, a rugged character with a scar across his face that reflected the unforgiving terrain of the planet, looked up from his drink. A recognition flashed in his eyes, followed by a sly grin.

"Slade," he drawled, "didn't expect you to come all this way, out here, to this desolate planet." "Business is business," Slade replied, his hand resting on the grip of his blaster.

Tensions mounted, and the scent of charged particles pervaded the air. Suddenly, guns were drawn, and the saloon erupted into chaos. Bullets whizzed, lights flickered, and the once joyful music morphed into a discordant melody.

Amidst the chaos, Slade and Redeye found themselves locked in a lethal confrontation, dodging bullets and trading shots. The treacherous planet seemed to conspire against them, its winds howling like haunting memories of a lawless past. After a fierce exchange, Slade's shot found its mark, as it always has. Redeye Rick collapsed, his spirit crushed, and his voice extinguished. The saloon fell into an uneasy quiet, disturbed only by the faint howl of the winds outside.

Slade confidently holstered his blaster, collected his hard-earned bounty, and made his way out of the Void's End, leaving behind a trail of dust and whispered tales. The twin moons witnessed his departure, and their indifferent glow cast shadows on the remnants of a skirmish fought in the vastness of the galaxy.
