It started with a simple nightmare. Sarah woke up in the middle of the night, sweating and shaking. She had dreamt that she was being chased by a monster, and when she looked down, she realized that she was holding her son, Charlie. But when she looked at him, he wasn't just a baby anymore - he was a monster, too.

At first, she dismissed it as just a bad dream. But when it happened again the next night, and the next, she began to worry. She didn't want to tell her husband, Mark, at first, afraid that he would think she was going crazy. But eventually, she couldn't keep it to herself anymore.

Mark was skeptical at first, but when he started having nightmares of his own, he began to take it seriously. They tried everything to calm Charlie down before bedtime - soothing music, warm baths, reading him stories. But no matter what they did, he would still wake up screaming in the middle of the night.

It wasn't until they saw Charlie's drawings that they began to understand what was happening. They had always encouraged his artistic side, and he loved to draw - but lately, his pictures had taken a darker turn. They were filled with monsters and demons, creatures with sharp teeth and glowing eyes.

At first, they thought it was just a phase. But when they saw that the monsters from Charlie's drawings were starting to appear in their house - lurking in the shadows, hiding under the bed - they knew they had a problem.

They tried to talk to Charlie, to explain to him that his drawings were just make-believe. But he was only three years old, and he didn't understand. All he knew was that he was scared, and he didn't want to go to sleep.

Desperate, they sought out the help of a child psychologist. She listened to their story with a sympathetic ear, and agreed to see Charlie for a session. But when she saw his drawings, her expression turned to one of fear.

"He's manifesting his nightmares," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "His drawings are becoming real."

Sarah and Mark were stunned. They had never heard of anything like this before. The psychologist explained that Charlie had some sort of latent psychic ability, one that allowed him to bring his nightmares to life. It was a rare and dangerous power, one that had to be controlled before it destroyed them all.

The psychologist recommended that they see a specialist - a man who had dealt with cases like this before. He was a strange and reclusive figure, but he had a reputation for being able to control even the most dangerous of psychic abilities.

They found him in a rundown cottage on the edge of town. He was old and gnarled, with piercing eyes that seemed to see straight through them. He listened to their story, nodding slowly as they spoke.

"I've seen this before," he said, his voice low and gravelly. "The child's mind is a powerful thing. It can create entire worlds, entire universes. But it can also destroy them."

He agreed to take on Charlie as a patient, and they began a grueling regimen of therapy and training. Charlie had to learn to control his powers, to create his own dreams instead of letting them run wild. It was a difficult and painful process, but slowly, they began to see progress.

The monsters in their house began to disappear, replaced by a sense of calm and peace. Charlie was sleeping through the night, no longer plagued by nightmares. Sarah and Mark felt as though a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.

But just when they thought it was over, they discovered that the specialist had his own agenda. He had been using Charlie's powers for his own gain, creating his own
