The New Girl

Rebel started at RidgeviewHigh school in the middle of the semester and I thought she was weird. I'm super popular and she is the new girl. I have an amazing boyfriend, and she's got no one, I have perfect grades and she came in the middle of the school year in the middle of the day. Rebel had bright blue hair and the prettiest, biggest brown eyes you ever did see. Mia  walked over to me and sat right next to me. Mia or Camila is my older identical twin sister, no one can ever tell us apart well except our boyfriends. The teachers not so much.

" Mia sit over by Rebel Johnsen she's new and you're gonna be her buddy and show her around. Also I really don't want you two sitting next to another, we can't tell you apart, that's why we assigned seats for you two?" Said  the teachers. It's last  period and we have a new student joining us. Our small private school. Only rich kids parents can afford. Rebel looks like a girl whose parents are divorced and living with grandma until they find someplace better.

I already hate her.

Mia gave me her look when she wants me to be her for something. I have that look too. So, I volunteer. Ugh, I hate my life. I get up and sit next to Rebel.  When I do, I noticed her beautiful brown eyes and perfect eyebrows. Maybe she is rich after all.

She doesn't look at me when i sit next to her.  She keeps to herself.

"Today we're learning about cells and shit. Okay turn your text books to chapter 4. Read that chapter there is going to be a quiz on it tomorrow. Lila share yours with Rebel." I think he knows we traded places.

"Also, I know the semester is almost over and you should be excited, but we have rig learn about the human body and babies. Ok, you'll be paired up with a partner that I will choose for you. You will get together with that partner and in detail explain your love story, you will also have a baby doll that you will take care of. And  it will cry and you'll have to figure out how take care of that baby. It's worth 80 percent of your grade, and the paper is worth 10 percent of your final grade. It's due back January 9th when we all get back from winter break. You have 5 weeks to complete it. The baby doll will have a camera inside so we can grade you accordingly. Rebel and Lila your paired up with one another. Everyone else pick a card." mr. T goes around the room handing each person a bowl with another persons name on it. And now everyone has a partner. While he is explaining all of this, i hand rebel a piece of  paper with my number on it, and a copy of chapter four on it.

After class is over I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Today is the last day before winter break. Rebel gets her back and runs up next to me.

“You don’t seem to want to work with me. I can tell. I’m also a witch and can read minds. I don’t want anything to do with you or your snobby sister. I’m asking the teacher to switch me to a male partner, there is no way we can work together.” She says giving me back my number and chapter assignment. I couldn’t help but stare into her beautiful eyes.

“No. I’m sorry. We can work together. I’m sorry fir being rude.”

“You want to work with the weird new girl nobody likes?” She asked

“Yes. Let’s be parents. I’ll get the baby and you can come over tonight to write our love story you can.”
