The Nano Take Over

When I woke up today, I thought things would be better. I wanted this whole ordeal to be a bad dream. There was much happening at only one event. The people panicked, and now there is confusion and chaos all over the world. People are screaming, People are hurt, and people are acting crazy. Nobody knew or planned because we never imagined that we could come to a time like this. My name is Tina and this is a recording of my story. If I die, I hope this will help the next person.

My friend Johanna had warned me about all this before it happened. I thought she was losing her mind. She was always going on about a secret society, conspiracy theories, and some outrageous stories. I never thought that any of it was true. Until the day I started having visions. I thought I saw some crazy things. My mind was playing some horrible tricks on me. I remember the day these visions began. My friend Johanna had said to me, "Why don't you come on over and visit? I have so much to tell you." I decided to hang out with her, and that day was the day it all started for me. I thought I was seeing some little men walking around in her room. It was the weirdest thing. I looked over and told Johanna, "Oh my gosh, I am seeing some crazy things right now in your room. Do you ever see it?"

Johanna paused for a second and then replied, "Wow, so you can see it too?," and she went on to say, "I opened the heart-shaped locket when all of the sudden, these visions started for me. The other day when I was laying down, I saw half-robot, half-man standing at the door."

Okay, so maybe I started laughing because it sounded ridiculous. However, I saw some pretty weird things myself. So I just told Johanna that I was going home and I would visit with her again later once I have processed this information she just revealed. I lived in the hotel room right across the way from her, so it was easy for me to stay with her, and we always visited frequently. That day though, when I went to my room again, I thought I was losing my mind. I looked all around and saw infinity signs in every place, even on my food. It was the weirdest sight ever, and I was spooked. I knew in my heart that something terrible was about to happen.

I kept getting these notifications on my phone. When I went to check my phone, It was Johanna. The message read, "OPEN RIGHT AWAY!" I opened the attachment, and there it was in giant letters, "The World as We know it, Coming to an End!" The articles were about nanorobot spies and how we have them in our DNA. It talked about a New World Dominance and how the Government was using this to control our thoughts. It also talked about a secret society that was controlling everything, including the weather. I really could not believe it, except that I read the comment section of the articles—people whose stories were similar to mine. I wish I would have done more that day. Maybe some way, somehow, there was something I could have done to prepare. I never knew on that day, that I would now have to face a post-apocalyptic world. I am stuck in a world full of chaos and destruction.

Everyone was acting out of character. People were breaking into homes, stealing anything they could for survival. They were killing each other off. It felt like I was an extra inside a movie. Nobody was scared of the police, and there were soldiers everywhere. It was crazy out there. I decided to take the chance, and I hurried off to my boyfriend's house down the street. Mark was a good guy. He always spoke to me in a good way and never called me out of my name. We had such a great relationship. Up until about a week ago. Now he has been paranoid, acting crazy, and saying weird things. I decided to check in to see how he was doing. The minute that I opened the door, he started yelling at me. He said to me," You dumb broad, You are probably one of them. You are trying to kill me. Go away!" I looked deeply at him. His eyes looked gazed, and he did not look like himself. I left his house. I ran all the way home crying because I knew this was the end for us. Something is happening. I thought, "Maybe this whole nano situation is true." I still had a hard time believing that anyone could control things around me, especially how a person thinks. However, things were getting worse. Then suddenly, the ground started to shake.

Luckily for me, it was only an aftershock. Somewhere nearby, another earthquake had hit. I started to get more frightened, and I was still having these crazy sightings all around me. It felt uncomfortable and like I was trapped in a dream. I was having dark thoughts that involved violent behavior. Luckily for me, my conscience would not let me do anything bad or wrong. My heart did not agree with what my mind was telling me.

A few minutes ago, I heard some yelling. I looked through the peephole, and I saw my friend Johanna. She was screaming for someone to die and walking around drenched in blood. She was holding a gun. She started to bang on my door, and yelled, "Let me in, you stupid bitch. Take this stupid locket. I know you are in there. Open up!" I grabbed my voice recorder and now I am sitting here hiding under my bed. I am not sure if she is going to make her way into my room. I am trying to stay calm. This is why I have to share my story. The talk of nano, it has to be true! I can hear her yelling. Just in case you cannot hear her say,"This is the end. I warned you, but I am coming back for you. You dumb tramp."

Oh my gosh! Did you just hear the gunshot and a loud thump? I am not sure, but I believe it to be my friend. It got quiet. I am freaking out and staying under the bed until I know everything is okay. (Unfortunately for Tina, she fell asleep)

When Tina woke up, there was a robot who looked a little like a man. He said a few words that nobody would ever think to hear, "Hello, you have decided not to be a part of our new world. You have been disobedient to our orders. You did not take our heart-shaped locket. The key for your own safety. Welcome to the new government. A world no longer run by humans and a gateway to our galaxy!" (Tina drops the recorder as she is taken away)
