Act I

Scene 1

(The stage is set with a beach in the foreground and a pirate ship in the background. A group of treasure hunters led by Captain Jack are exploring the area.)

Captain Jack: (looking at a map) This is it! We're finally going to find the lost treasure of Blackbeard's Cove!

John: (excitedly) This is going to make us all rich beyond our wildest dreams!

Jane: (cautiously) But we have to be careful. The legend says that Blackbeard cursed the treasure, and anyone who tries to take it will suffer his wrath.

Captain Jack: (dismissively) Nonsense! That's just a myth created to scare people away. We'll be fine as long as we're careful.

Scene 2

(The treasure hunters are digging in the sand, and after a while, they uncover a chest.)

Captain Jack: (excitedly) This is it! The treasure of Blackbeard!

John: (warily) Captain, are you sure it's safe to open?

Captain Jack: (confidently) Of course! I've been searching for this treasure my whole life. Nothing is going to stop me now!

(Jack opens the chest, and a bright light emanates from within.)

Jane: (screaming) Look out!

(The light engulfs the treasure hunters, and they all disappear.)

Act II

Scene 1

(The treasure hunters find themselves in a dark room, surrounded by skeletons and treasure.)

John: (fearfully) Where are we? What happened?

Captain Jack: (confused) I don't know. But this looks like the treasure room of Blackbeard's ship.

Jane: (horrified) Look! The curse of Blackbeard is true! We're all doomed!

Scene 2

(A ghostly figure appears.)

Blackbeard: (menacingly) So, you have come to claim my treasure. You are all fools!

Captain Jack: (defiantly) We're not afraid of you, Blackbeard!

Blackbeard: (laughing) You should be. No one can escape my curse. You will all suffer as I have suffered.

Scene 3

(The treasure hunters are trapped in the room, unable to escape. Blackbeard's ghost continues to taunt them.)

Captain Jack: (desperately) There must be a way out of here! We can't be trapped forever!

John: (thoughtfully) Wait a minute. The legend says that Blackbeard's curse can be broken if someone is willing to sacrifice themselves.

Jane: (shocked) Sacrifice themselves? What does that mean?

John: (resolutely) It means that one of us has to stay behind and become a guardian of the treasure. That way, the curse will be lifted, and the rest of us can go free.

Scene 4

(The treasure hunters argue about who should stay behind. Finally, Captain Jack volunteers.)

Captain Jack: (stoically) I'll do it. This is my destiny. I've searched my whole life for this treasure, and now I'll guard it for eternity.

John: (tearfully) Thank you, Captain. We'll never forget your sacrifice.

Jane: (sadly) Rest in peace, Captain Jack. You were a true hero.

(The ghostly figure of Blackbeard disappears, and the room fills with light. The remaining treasure hunters are transported back to the beach.)

Act III

Scene 1

(The treasure hunters are back on the beach, staring at the empty chest.)

John: (disappointed) We lost the treasure.

Jane: (smiling) But we still have each other. And that's worth more than any amount of gold.

Captain Jack: (appearing as a ghostly figure) You're right, Jane. And because you have learned that lesson, I will lift the curse.

(The ghostly figure of Blackbeard appears.)

Blackbeard: (grudgingly) You have proven yourselves worthy of my treasure. Take it and go. But remember, riches can be a curse as well as a blessing.

Scene 2

(The treasure hunters divide the treasure equally among themselves.)

John: (gratefully) Thank you, Captain Jack. We'll never forget your sacrifice.

Captain Jack: (smiling) You're welcome, John. It was my pleasure.

Jane: (thoughtfully) But what do we do now? We can't just go back to our normal lives after this.

Captain Jack: (wisely) That's up to you. But remember, there's more to life than just treasure. Find your own adventure, and don't be afraid to take risks.

Scene 3

(The treasure hunters say their goodbyes and go their separate ways.)

John: (smiling) I'll never forget this adventure. Thanks for everything.

Jane: (hugging John) Me neither. Take care of yourself.

Captain Jack: (watching from afar) Farewell, my friends. May your lives be filled with adventure and joy.

(The curtain falls.)
