The Library of Hidden Worlds
The Secret of The Door Between Pagesthe Old Mirror
Amir had always loved books more than anything else in the world. While other children spent their afternoons playing outside, Amir preferred sitting quietly in the corner of the town library, turning pages and discovering new worlds.
The library itself was old and mysterious. It stood at the end of a narrow street and had tall wooden shelves that reached almost to the ceiling. The smell of paper and dust filled the air, creating a peaceful atmosphere that Amir found comforting.
The librarian, an elderly woman named Mrs. Salma, often smiled when she saw him.
“You read faster than anyone I have ever seen,” she once told him.
Amir simply smiled and continued reading.
One rainy afternoon, while exploring a part of the library he had never visited before, Amir noticed a very small staircase hidden behind a shelf. He had never seen it before, even though he had been coming to the library for years.
Curious, he climbed the narrow stairs.
At the top he found a small room with only one shelf.
On that shelf rested a single book.
The book looked ancient. Its cover was made of dark leather, and strange symbols were carved into it.
Amir carefully picked it up.
There was no title.
When he opened the first page, he saw something even stranger.
The page was blank.
He turned the next page.
Also blank.
Confused, Amir flipped through several pages, but every page was empty.
Then he noticed something written in tiny letters at the bottom of one page.
It said:
"Stories appear only to those who truly believe."
Amir frowned.
“What does that mean?” he whispered.
Suddenly the room became very quiet.
A strange wind seemed to pass through the pages of the book, even though the window was closed.
Then the words began to appear.
Slowly.
As if an invisible hand were writing them.
Amir stared in amazement.
The first sentence formed on the page:
“Once there was a boy named Amir who discovered a book that could open doors to other worlds.”
Amir’s heart began beating faster.
The story was about him.
He continued reading.
“With curiosity stronger than fear, Amir turned the next page and stepped closer to the unknown.”
At that moment the book began glowing faintly.
The letters on the page shimmered like tiny lights.
Amir felt the air around him change.
The room seemed to move slightly.
He turned the page again.
Suddenly the floor beneath him disappeared.
Amir felt himself falling.
Not downwards, but through something soft and warm, like clouds made of light.
When he finally opened his eyes, he was no longer in the library.
He was standing in the middle of a huge forest.
Tall silver trees surrounded him, and glowing flowers covered the ground. Strange birds with golden wings flew across a purple sky.
Amir could not believe what he was seeing.
“This can’t be real,” he said.
But everything felt real.
The wind.
The sounds.
The colors.
Then he looked down at the book in his hands.
More words were appearing.
“You have entered the first world hidden within the library.”
Amir read the next line slowly.
“Every page is a different world.”
His excitement grew.
But then he read the final sentence that appeared on the page.
“Be careful. Not every story wants to let its reader leave.”
At that moment the forest became silent.
Too silent.
The birds stopped singing.
The wind stopped moving.
Amir slowly looked up.
Between the silver trees, something was watching him.
Something very tall.
Something that had not been part of the story before.
And suddenly Amir realized something terrifying.
The book was still writing.
But now… the story was writing itself without him turning the page.
