The door was opened to a world where time plays no role. Nothing is born and nothing dies. All that existed in this world were gifts of endless possibilities. Like a tube of sealed paint in an artists possession that has no particular intended use, waiting for the inspiration that brought it to existence to experience a story.

A powerful quirk develops an ability to make a decision. The decision is born from a desire, the desire is born from something learned. The desire is conclusion. What if there was an inevitable goal, that traverses a journey where what was learned would be limited yet so vast that it is never fully realised? All that happens is fact, all that can be known is known. But surely more can be known if it were simply challenged. Four quirks come together and under order of one of those quirks, the remaining three are tasked with creating limits. How vast can facts be in a world that is limited? The three quirks adopted limits that worked together. These quirks became familiar with the new world, and a sense of self was learned. In a limited world, they somehow managed to discover there was even more to learn.

They fondly watched over their new world and continued to learn more of what could be learned. Their new found senses of selves developed into a sense of others. Learning their world allowed a co-existence in a space where others would know what you did not. This developed into a downfall, and the three quirks under order of the fourth, willingly sealed their sense of self away, but remaining in the world so that it can continue to thrive without their interference. The quirks were no longer safe to be in this world with all they had created, and had decided to part themselves away so that they would not be hunted for their everything. In turn this created the means of an end. If they left, the world now knew end. The fourth quirk that remained, with newfound knowledge of even how limits do not contain all that there is, then decided that she herself, must also come to an end. The world needs to remain limited and the bountiful knowledge and power she brought into this world, even with the three powerful quirks whom she fondly called her daughters being sealed away, would cause this world to devour their own. She was far too fond of what had borne from the curiosity of this quirk and her daughters. She sealed her powers with her sleeping children, leaving her sense of self behind in the world so that she may know change, growth, beginnings and end, knowing full well that when her time to end is nigh, that the quirk will be left behind and will know only of ends until this world is no more. She became a goddess in limbo, but no one forgot her or her three daughters for many generations to pass. It left part of her unprotected, so in her passing she left her legacy in her children which she bore after sealing her powers away. Her words exactly would be forgotten, but the legacy was never challenged.

"This door connects our world with the old realm. I will exist in neither of these worlds, so I cannot protect this door, that, I leave in your hands. The powers and knowledge in these realms would flood into each other, and cause calamity among the innocent, only open it if your sisters are in danger. Part of me will always remain here, in you. Guide these lives forward, and in return they will protect you."

She knew that she could not predict what would happen, and also knew that she could not prevent it, she would only be able to witness it pass by her. On her final day she left behind the last emotion she felt, and that was hope. This goddess was worshiped until her name had been forgotten. In times of need and change, hope was what the world had and would drive them forward without the powers of these quirks to guide them.

The door would open and would cause time to sink into an endless loop. The sisters were divided and would remain dormant until one would wake, the other two would follow and would seek worthy guides to hold their powers until they could sleep again. With no sense of self, there was no control, and as time was stuck in an endless cycle, everything within it would still experience a beginning and end, which meant that no one would exist long enough in order to break the loop. Those responsible for opening the door, two children no less, would carry the burden of that broken seal for uncountable loops. Their souls recycled every single time so that they, like the goddess, would never truly know an end. They were stuck in this loop with another, the one who manipulated events that would cause the children to open the door. Each of these three would be the vessels that carried the sleeping quirks, who longed to be together again, but in order for that to happen, the loop would need to be broken. The challenge of breaking a loop that you do not even know you are in is not a task ever set, as no one ever knew.

Until they did.
