The Last Ember Before Sunrise"
A heartwarming tale of survival, kindness, and the quiet magic of unexpected companionship in the coldest season.

The Last Ember Before Sunrise"
It was the last morning of the year, in a quiet village surrounded by cold winds and fallen leaves. Most people had returned home for the holidays, but not Efe. He was a young man working as a local security guard, guarding an empty market square.
At 4:45 a.m., the power went out. The cold was sharp, biting his fingers even through his gloves. Efe lit a small fire using dry sticks and sat close to it. As the flames danced, he saw an old woman approach, shivering in silence. She had nowhere to sleep.
Without saying a word, Efe moved aside, inviting her to warm her hands by his fire. They didn’t speak much, but they shared that moment — two strangers brought together by a small source of warmth.
Just before sunrise, the old woman looked at him and whispered,
"In this cold world, even the smallest warmth can save a soul. You saved mine."
Then she smiled and walked away into the fading night.
That morning, Efe realized something: you
don’t need much to make a difference — just a little kindness, like a fire in the cold.
Moral:
This New Year, be the small flame in someone’s cold moment. A kind word, a seat, a smile — it could change a life.
