The mirror stood in the corner of the room, its dark surface reflecting the faint light from the window. It was an old mirror, with a heavy wooden frame and ornate carvings, it had been in the family for generations. It was said to have belonged to a witch, and that it was cursed. But the family didn't believe in curses. They thought the mirror was just a valuable antique.

One day, a young girl named Sarah was playing in the attic when she found the mirror. She had never seen it before. She was curious about it, so she picked it up and looked into it.

At first, Sarah just saw her own reflection. But then, she saw something else. She saw a dark figure standing behind her.

Sarah turned around, but there was no one there. She looked back in the mirror, but the dark figure was gone.

Sarah was scared, but she was also intrigued. She decided to keep the mirror a secret from her parents. She would sneak up to the attic every day to look at it.

Every time Sarah looked into the mirror, she would see the dark figure. The figure would stand behind her, watching her.

One day, Sarah asked the figure who it was.

"I am you," the figure replied.

Sarah was confused. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"I am your dark side," the figure said. "I am the part of you that you are afraid of."

Sarah was scared, but she was also curious. She wanted to know more about her dark side.

"What do you want?" Sarah asked.

"I want to help you," the figure said. "I want to help you become the best version of yourself."

Sarah didn't know what to think. She was scared of the dark figure, but she also felt drawn to it.

"How can you help me?" Sarah asked.

"I can help you to achieve your goals," the figure said. "I can help you to become more powerful and successful."

Sarah was tempted. She had always dreamed of becoming a famous actress. She thought that the dark figure could help her to achieve her dream.

"Okay," Sarah said. "I'll let you help me."

The dark figure smiled. "Good," it said. "Now, let's get started."

The dark figure taught Sarah everything it knew. It taught her how to be manipulative and how to get what she wanted, no matter the cost.

Sarah became very successful. She became a famous actress and she had everything she had ever wanted. But she wasn't happy.

Sarah realized that she had lost herself. She had become the dark figure that she had once feared.

One day, Sarah was looking in the mirror when she saw the dark figure again. But this time, the figure was standing in front of her.

"I'm tired of you," Sarah said. "I want you to leave me alone."

The figure laughed. "You can't get rid of me," it said. "I'm a part of you now."

Sarah was terrified. She didn't know what to do.

"Please," she begged. "Leave me alone."

The figure laughed again. "Never," it said.

The figure reached out and touched Sarah's face. Sarah screamed in pain. She felt her skin burning.

Sarah looked down and saw that her skin was turning black. She was becoming the dark figure.

Sarah screamed again, but it was too late. She had become the dark figure that she had once feared.

Sarah looked in the mirror and saw her new reflection. She was smiling.

"Finally," she said. "I am free."

Sarh walked away from the mirror and left the room. She was no longer Sarah. She was the dark figure.

The dark figure walked down the stairs and out of the house. It was time to start a new life.

The dark figure walked into the night, its black eyes glowing in the darkness. It was free, and it was hungry.
