So the story goes: the Leed's woman gives birth to her unwanted 13th child, cursing it to be a devil.
The night of its birth, it transforms: head of a horse, wings of a bat, and the terrible spade tail of a devil...
I didn't think much of that ol' Jersey Devil, 'til the night the beast chased me out of the ol' Pine Barrens...
It came at me with a scream as dusk approached; I hadn't made it back to my truck.
As I tore down the road, it followed, scraping the roof of my truck.
I won't return.
