The Incomplete One

Arjun wakes up and get ready for his first day of college. He was not that much excited as others for the first day of college. He was going to start his college life the life of freedom, independence, learning, enjoyment, adventures. But Arjun was not that much interested in college life. For him the world outside the college was more interesting. He gets ready and after doing his breakfast leave for the college. He entered the college gate and was looking at the college building, turf, auditorium, classes, playing room, the trophic room. But noting in the college could attract him. After sometime rooming in the college he goes towards his class room. He looks around in the class and then crab the seat at the fifth bench of the last row form the door. Teacher was not yet arrived in the class. He started the conversation with some boys. After some time, when he was talking to the boys Prof. Swati Wani entered in the class. She introduced her self and after that started the lecture. After an hour lecture ends, and Arjun was bored and was not interesting in attending further two lectures. After two lectures he was really cooked and also very tired. His first day was not much good. Next day when he came to college. He gets to know that the BMS department is divided into two division and he is in B division. He enters his class and seat along his new friends on the last second bench. After some time, Prof. Ankita entered the class. She tells students that she is going to teach economics for this semester and she is also the class teacher of B division. She announced that she is going to select two students as class representatives and those who were interested can raise their hands. Five students were interested and was called upon the stage.

It was first time when Arjun saw Kinjal. Beautiful, cute face, curly hairs, sharp big eyes, small nose and the lips with sweet smile on them. Mam asked some question to the students and selected two as the class representative and Kinjal was the one. She takes her seat and Arjun was just looking at her. She was seating on the second bench to the next row of Arjun’s row. Ankita Mam started the lecture but Arjun was not interested in the lecture but was continuously looking at Kinjal.

Next day Ankita mam announced that every student has to find and explain the case study abouts the current economic situation of an industry and every day three students will do the activity and asked the students who were interesting in performing the activity in next lecture. Arjun raised the hand. Mam asked Kinjal to write the name of students who are doing the activity and keeping record of it. After the lecture in the break Kinjal asked Arjun his name. It was first time Arjun talks to her.

After two weeks Pooja Mam announced a group assignment and the whole class is to be divided into three groups. Each group will have a group leader and among three group leader one was Kinjal. Arjun wants to go in the group of Kinjal but could not. Every day when he enters the class room, he looks around for Kinjal and was always looking for a chance to talk to her. Every time in college his eyes were in search of Kinjal. He wants to ask her for the date but he does not have any courage to ask her. After some days Arjun comes to know that Kinjal was dating their college senior. He was sad but got over her and started preparing for his CA exams. When semester was just coming to an end, he gets a chance to talk to her. Joyti Mam has announced a skit as the assignment and also form the group of four students. Arjun and Kinjal was in one group. For four days they were together for the preparation of skit. After the skit Kinjal was busy with her friends and Arjun with his friends. In the second semester there was not a single moment when they both talk to each other. One day when Arjun was with his friends discussing on some nonsense things he came to know that Kinjal had a break up with there senior who she was dating before the internal exams which was held before the skit where Arjun and Kinjal where together.

After the completion of the second semester’s final paper Arjun goes to his home in Jalgaon. He gives his CA inter paper and did not pass. He returned to Mumbai and decided that he will not attend the college and just go for assignments and tests, and prepare for his CA exam. For the third semester he did not see Kinjal.

He cleared his CA inter group 1 exam and started preparing for his second group. He was now focused on studies. He was going to college, attending the lectures and also preparing for his CA exam which was going to be held in May. But he still has a crush on Kinjal. Soon everyone comes to know that Arjun has pass CA foundation and Inter group 1 exam and his image as a backbencher and an average student was changed to a topper. In march Arjun’s fourth semester exam was over and he return to his home and was gives his exam in May. In may he gives his exam and was waiting for the result. In between his fifth semester in college started and he leaves for Mumbai. He was regularly attending the lectures in college and he still has a crush on Kinjal. In July his CA intermediate group 2 result where announced and he was pass and has now cleared his CA intermediate level. After that he was absent in college for next two days. After two days he comes in college and was seating behind auditorium waiting for his friend. A group of students was doing rehearsal for their event and Kinjal was also in the group. Kinjal noticed that Arjun was seating alone. Kinjal went to talk to her.

“Hi, are you waiting for someone” she asked. Arjun replies, “Yes, for Gaurav. He is on the way.”

“Oo. Arjun actually I want to tell you something. I really like you. I had a huge crush on you. I want to tell you this before but you were not attending the lectures in between and then busy with your friends and studies and then we don’t have any talks and no common friends and not any situation where we can talk. You where seating alone so I think this is the right time and moment to tell you.”

Arjun was surprised as well as shocked, “I really don’t know what to say. This is something which is totally unexpected. Actually, I had a huge crush on you and I really like you, but” he was unable to say, rather he could not find the words to say “See I had just passed my CA intermediated exam and now I am moving to Pune for my articleship and this is my last day in college. Today I am cancelling my admission and tomorrow I am leaving the city. And I don’t think this could workout, sorry”.

“But there are many good firms in Mumbai to where you can complete your articleship.”

“But I can learn more in Pune about different business. I have got selected in firm that I want, and I don’t want to lose this opportunity.”

They where just looking at each other and suddenly Gaurav called Arjun.

“Bey” Arjun said with a heavy heart. Kinjal can’t even say goodbye to him. He looked at her and went with Gaurav. Kinjal was standing their and was looking at Arjun with a hope that he could stay.

If Arjun has confessed his feelings to Kinjal before or Kinjal has tell him about her feelings to him, then they might have a complete story. But some stories are meant to be incomplete.
