The Avengers crowded around Dragon Heart, looking at her curiously, Dragon could hear Loki's voice behind her, "I just thought she was particularly interesting." Dragon watched as the deep-voiced man took Loki's arm and brought him away from the group, speaking quietly, but harshly at him. Loki's voice was a little louder than the deep-voiced man's, so she was able to hear a little. "Dear brother, stop being such a spoilsport! I've brought us a new friend! You should be thanking me!"

Dragon growled, not noticing one of the people who was standing to her left, had bent down to see Dragon better. "Are you ok, sweetie?" Dragon jumped and moved away from the sudden voice. This voice was different, it was soft, and kind, like a mother's voice. She tried to pull her wrists free, but they were still tied fast by the green light of Loki's charm. She also finds that she can't use any of her magic, it's like his power is blocking her own. She started to panic a little as her senses started coming back to her, the lady reached out a hand to her, which only resulted in almost losing a finger to Dragon's teeth. The lady frowns, gets up, and walks over to Loki and the man he calls brother. She whispered something to Loki, and he looked over at Dragon and said to the lady, "I'm not sure that's the best idea, she is rather powerful and... doesn't seem relatively fond of strangers-" Dragon hissed at Loki, which made him make a face at the lady which seemed to say, "See?"

Dragon had had enough, she did an awkward dance to try and get up without her hands. "I don't know WHO you are, but I DEMAND you release me THIS INSTANT!" Loki makes a mock scared face as he walks slowly toward her. "very intimidating, let me tell you, but can you tell me what exactly you're going to do if I don't? See, your wrists are still bound in my magic, darling." He stopped right in front of her, reaching behind her to her bound wrists, and tapped the magic barrier. She glared at him, took a step back, and rammed her head forward, right into his nose. Loki stumbled backward, landing on his behind on the hard floor. His hand flies to his nose, red dripping through his fingers and onto his dark green suit, splattering on the gold stripes. Some of the others gasped and ran to his side, which was just some of the women, the men looked at Loki, then at Dragon, who snarled at their surprised faces.

The man Loki called brother was laughing his head off like his brother's broken nose was amusing. Loki shoved everyone away from him and stood up, a green line of light passed over his body, and when it went away, his nose was fixed, and the blood on his clothes was gone. He'd used his magic to heal himself. He marches back over to Dragon, not stopping when he gets close to her, forcing her to back up against a wall. His face was mere inches from hers, and he slammed his arm on the wall beside her, which caused her to flinch. His eyes were glowing with anger, making them a bright green instead of the calmer greenish-blue they were. His voice was deep, with a hint of a growl, it sent a quiver down her spine, making her knees weak. "Don't ever do that again... Do you know who I am? I am a GOD, I should be treated with respect! Remember your place... peasant-" He pulls away, storming down a hallway she hadn't seen until now, his long dark cape swishing behind him.

Dragon melts to the floor, he is rather scary when he gets angry, and her wrists suddenly fall to her sides. The binds are gone...

She pulls her arms into her lap, rubbing where the magic held her. The lady from before came over and knelt in front of Dragon. "Hi, I'm Wanda." Her voice was gentle and kind, as soft as a mother comforting a frightened child. Wanda, being careful to move slowly, held out a hand to her. Dragon looked at Wanda's hand, then up at Wanda who smiles, "I know he can be scary, but he's only embarrassed that you knocked him flat on his ass." Dragon hesitated for a moment, still processing the whirlwind of emotions from the earlier encounter. Wanda keeps her hand out, "I bet a snack might help, we have some leftover cake in the fridge?" Dragon looked at her, not sure whether to trust her or not, but the warmth in Wanda’s smile was inviting, and the thought of cake made her stomach growl softly. “Ok...” she finally replied, her earlier worry fading.

Wanda’s eyes lit up, and she helped Dragon to her feet. “Great! It’s just in the kitchen,” she said, leading the way through a hallway decorated with cheerful images of different heroes and feats. The scent of baked goods filled the air, making Dragon feel more at ease.

As they entered the kitchen, Dragon noticed that it was bright and welcoming. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the marble counter. Wanda rummaged through the fridge, pulling out a large plate of cake that looked almost too good to be true—layers of chocolate and vanilla, drizzled with rich frosting.

“Here we go! It’s my favorite recipe, so I hope you like it,” Wanda said as she placed a generous slice on a plate and handed it to Dragon. “I’ll grab some forks.”

With cake in hand, Dragon felt a small smile tugging at her lips. “Thank you, Wanda.” She took a bite, and the flavors danced on her tongue, a delightful distraction from the earlier tension.

Wanda sat across from her, a playful grin on her face. “See? Not so scary after all, huh? Just remember, he’s probably more embarrassed than anything. You caught him off guard.”

Dragon nodded. “Yeah... I didn’t really expect him to react like that.”

Wanda nodded, her expression understanding. “People have their moments. It just shows they’re not as tough as they want to appear.”

As they chatted over the cake, Dragon felt a growing connection with Wanda, one that warmed her heart. In that cozy kitchen filled with laughter and sweet treats, she realized that even in a world that sometimes felt daunting, there were moments of kindness that made everything a little bit brighter.
