"The Haunted House on Maple Street"
"The Haunted House on Maple Street"

It was a bright summer day when Emma and her son, Max, moved into their new house on Maple Street. Emma was thrilled with the spacious living room and the modern kitchen, while Max was excited to explore his new backyard.
But as the sun went down and darkness crept in, strange things began to happen. Max would wake up crying in the middle of the night, and Emma would hear footsteps in the hallway when she knew no one was there.
One night, as Emma was putting Max to bed, she noticed something strange on the television. It was an image of a woman's face, distorted and blurry. Emma tried to change the channel, but the image remained, and she felt a chill run down her spine.
As the days passed, the strange occurrences continued. Max would talk to someone in his room, but Emma could never see anyone there. The television would turn on by itself, and strange whispers could be heard from the speakers.
Emma decided to talk to her neighbor, Anthony, about the strange happenings. He listened attentively, and then told her the story of the previous owners of the house.
According to Anthony, a woman named Rosemary had lived in the house with her son, Tommy. One day, while playing in the backyard, Tommy was bitten by a snake and died from the venom. Rosemary was devastated, and her grief soon turned to madness. She became convinced that Tommy's spirit was still in the house and would often speak to him through the television.
Emma was horrified by the story and didn't know what to do. That night, as she was putting Max to bed, she heard a voice coming from the television. It was a woman's voice, whispering Max's name.
Emma quickly turned off the television and took Max to her room. But as they were walking down the hallway, they heard the sound of footsteps behind them. Emma turned around, but there was no one there.
Over the next few days, Emma became increasingly worried about Max. He had stopped eating and seemed to be losing weight. Emma took him to the doctor, but the tests came back normal.
One night, as Emma was sitting in the living room, she saw the television turn on by itself. The image on the screen was that of a woman's face, distorted and angry. Emma knew that it was the ghost of Rosemary, and she felt a cold sweat break out on her forehead.
Suddenly, she heard Max's screams coming from his room. Emma rushed to his room and found him thrashing about in his bed. She tried to calm him down, but he kept screaming and pointing at the television.
As Emma turned to look at the television, she saw the image of Rosemary's face change to that of a snake. The snake's eyes were cold and calculating, and Emma knew that it was the embodiment of the ghost's anger.
The snake slithered towards Max's bed, and Emma felt a wave of terror wash over her. She knew that the snake was there to kill her son.
With a burst of courage, Emma grabbed Max and ran out of the house. She didn't stop running until she reached Anthony's house. She told him everything that had happened and begged him to help her.
Anthony knew what had to be done. He took Emma and Max to a priest who specialized in exorcisms. The priest performed a powerful ritual, and the ghost of Rosemary was banished from
