Jason was not happy about his new place of work, as it was lack of modern amenities that he prefer to enjoy. The stone walls of the watch room made him crazy, as they reminds him a jail.

After spending several years without a steady income, Jason decided to join the Xavier and company. The Xavier's has a long reputation as a provider of private security.

"Young man you have to help us to protect a small property located in the countryside" The inspector of the group muttered in a husky voice handing him a small envelope that containing some $ 10 bills and a small piece of paper that shows that had been marked to his new station.

" Don't go out after dark!" the coldness of the voice that delivered the message made Jason to stop and turn back. He was directly facing the smiling face of the duty inspector.

"what?. You want to scare me"

"Of course not, young man. take it easy. I mean tarantulas.... It was infested with them after darkness covers the valley"

Jason laughed. The inspector had a stupid face and there was the signs or irony in his voice.

" I am not happy with them. anyway try to keep away from the darkness"

Jason took a trin to the respective station and reach the place of work in a taxi. The smiling taxi driver cut his grin abruptly, when he learnt the destination of his client.

"It is not a good place, but I think you are fully briefed by your superiors to assume duties there."

Jason was shaken by the expression of the driver, as to quench his growing curiosity Jason tried to get the man to talk, but it was in vain. The driver did not give much, but Jason felt that something odd seems to be there.

Jason was staring at the stone wall of the guard room. There was nothing to get his attention on the stony wall or nearby. The coldness in the room and the howling wind made him uneasy, and he felt that something odd happening outside.

The sound of the wind was growing and becoming more and more earie. Jason heard someone or thing trying to push the door. The old wooden door of the cottage sagged inside, and he knew that the hinges were not able to offer much resistance.

"Who are you ?"

But there was not any answer. The wind was blowing harder and the sound of the distance thunder made Jason to further stay back from the door. He was scared, as he knew that there was not any chance for him to witness the daylight next day.

He was breathing heavily and waiting to hear the sounds of the breaking door. His body was covered with sweat and finally he saw it.

One of the tentacles of a great spider moving towards him in the darkness.
