Sarah pushed her cart through the shopping throng at Walmart, nearly careening into a group of children. Work had kept her too busy to buy the customary gifts for family and friends.
She made her way through the crowd, snatching up a too-thin roast turkey and ham.
“Oh no…is that the last box of chocolates?”She quickly threw it in her cart.
Then the gifts - she ticked off every one that she had to buy one for. Exhausted but triumphant, she made her way to the cashiers, only to find that she had forgotten-
“Wrapping paper!”
She bamboozled through the crowd once more, grabbing the much-needed paper off the shelf.
At home, she frantically wrapped her gifts, stopping with relief when the clock struck 2 a.m.
The presents were ready, including Cousin Betsy’s gift that had a tag which read “For Cousin Mavis.”
