The girl from the Rainy Night– A Love Etched in Time

Life is like a train

By Mued.ggPublished 9 months ago 2 min read

When I was a teenager, I experienced something that changed my life forever—I fell in love. It wasn’t a crush or a silly feeling; it was the kind of love that stays with you no matter how much time passes.

It all began during a school picnic on a ship. Among the crowd, I saw a girl for the first time. There was something about her—her smile, her calmness—that made my heart feel something I couldn’t explain. I didn’t even know her name, but in that moment, I knew I had fallen in love.

The picnic ended after four days, and I thought that was the end of it. But fate had other plans. Instead of returning home, I went to my grandma’s house—and there she was again. She was my grandma’s neighbor. My heart skipped a beat. It felt like destiny had brought us together again.

That night, I finally gathered the courage to talk to her. We listened to music, played games, and shared laughter. It was simple, but magical. I stayed at grandma’s for 15 days, and every moment with her became a beautiful memory I still cherish.

One rainy night, she stayed with us because the weather was bad. We had dinner together, laughed, and enjoyed each other’s company like a small family. I felt truly alive that night. It was the kind of happiness you wish you could hold onto forever.

But the next day, she returned to her house, Then she came again and we enjoy together, But I could never tell her I loved her. I thought I'd tell her later, someday, but that someday never came. I didn’t see her for 5 days. I asked my grandmother where she was, confused and heartbroken. I found out the truth at that point: she didn't live there. She was just visiting from Spain and was staying with her father’s friend for a short trip.

My heart broke into pieces. I didn’t know her full name, her address, or how to find her again. She left just like a beautiful dream fades when you wake up. I’ve tried many times over the years to find her, but I never succeeded.

Now, 10 years have passed, and I still remember her face, her voice, and those days we spent together. I don’t have a photo, but her memory lives deep in my heart. Sometimes, I wonder if she remembers me too. She might also be thinking about that boy she met on a rainy night somewhere else in the universe.
