Tom had been dating Sarah for six months. It was her birthday, and he wanted to give her a gift that would make her heart sing.

"I hope she likes it," Tom said to his friend, Tim.

"What did you get her?" Tim asked.

"It's a surprise," Tom replied with a grin.

Sarah arrived at Tom's apartment, and he handed her a small box wrapped in gold paper.

"Happy birthday, Sarah," he said, his heart pounding.

Sarah opened the box and gasped.

"A key? What's this for?" she asked.

"It's for the car outside. It's yours," Tom said.

Sarah's eyes widened, and she hugged Tom.

"I can't believe it! Thank you so much!" she exclaimed.

Tom smiled, feeling proud of himself. But as they walked outside, Sarah spotted a familiar car parked nearby.

"Wait a minute, Tom. That's my old car," Sarah said, confused.

Tom chuckled.

"I know. I fixed it up for you," he said.

Sarah's heart swelled with love for Tom.

"That's the best gift ever," she said, kissing him.

Tom grinned, knowing that he had succeeded in surprising her.
