Introduction

Hello, by name is Demetrius Fulmore, I love to fantaize and write about fictonal geopolictcal topics. The year in this story is based on the 365-year calendar. The letters YA means the years after Qing Guo was formed.

Queen Xing

Queen Xing became the queen of the Queendom of Qing Guo in 95 YA, in 100 YA she united four nations diplomatically under her rule, she was an open-minded person, and greatly expanded the rights of ethnic, sexual, and religious minorities in the nation, she passed many reforms that helped the poor, stabilized the economy and ended the absolute monarchy, replacing it with a constitutional monarchy with a democratically elected parliament, along with Prime Minister to advise her. She was a lesbian and had a wife, she also gave birth to two sons, Xiao in 104 YA and Ling in 108 YA, who were both born by surrogacy.

Succession

When Queen Xing died in 117 YA of a heart attack, A succession crisis sparked between her brother Zhong and her firstborn son Xiao. Since Xiao was too young to rule, the parliament decided that Xiao will be king, but his uncle Zhong will become his regent until he is of age 20. Since there was a male ruler, the nation was renamed the Kingdom of Qing Guo.

Bigoted Reforms

Starting in 119 YA, Zhong brought an end to the peaceful progressive period under the late Queen Xing, he stripped away the recently granted rights of the ethnic, sexual, and religious minorities, meaning people could now be discriminated against because of their color, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion. Zhong stole from the poor and used the money and resources to build him a large palace and to fund his lavish lifestyle. He also infringed on the rights of women, making it illegal for a woman to get a job, nor become the queen of the nation. All of this, combined with a failed invasion of the Kingdom of Son Guo, sparked outrage, causing chaos in the streets, which in turn, caused a civil war.

The Qing Guo Civil War

After a large number of anti-government protests in 119 YA, several factions bonded together to form the United Independence Front or UIF. The UIF pushed troops to take areas by force, they broke into government offices arresting government officials and taking over control of different areas and cities. After a series of military defeats caused by poor leadership, Regent Zhong surrendered to the rebels and accepted peace in 120 YA. The terms of the treaty were harsh, the Kingdom of Qing Guo was to lose almost 70% of its territory and had to pay high reparations. The newly independent states were the Free Kingdom of Hezhou Guo, the Republic of Taiguo, and the Holy State of Yichang.

King Zhong

In 121 YA, Regent Zhong was able to use his wealth to cause mischief and bribed parliament officials to declare a state of emergency, and to issue a new arrangement. In this arrangement, Zhong became king, the name of the nation was to be the Kingdom of Great Zhong, which was named after himself, Xiao was to become a vassal to the king and a duke for an area called South Tanguo, while Ling was to become another vassal and the Duke of North Tanguo. During this time Xiao was 17 and had a better understanding of the law, he and his brother Ling, did not like this arrangement and went to court to challenge this rule, but both failed due to the corruption in the system.

Xiao’s Relationship

In 123 AY when Duke Xiao was 19, he realize that he was gay, and remembered he took the trait from his late lesbian mother. Xiao fell in love with an 18-year-old young handsome man named Yoshino. Xiao knew that King Zhong, his overlord made it illegal to be gay, so he and his now-boyfriend kept their relationship a secret. Eventually, a palace maid learned of their relationship and told the police, who then told King Zhong. When King Zhong heard of their relationship, he was furious. He sent in the military police to arrest Duke Xiao and his boyfriend. This sparked outrage, and protests emerged in the streets of South Tanguo’s regional capital Xiaoping.

Invasion Deal

Xiao’s brother Ling, wanted his brother freed from prison, he knew that breaking out a prisoner was against the law and that he could be arrested. Ling also knew that his uncle, King Zhong, was a terrible and weak man and needed to be ousted from power. Ling knew that the army of Great Zhong was in bad condition from the civil war. Ling and his regional government secretly negotiated with the Lordship of Chang, (which was also against the law) for the invasion of the Kingdom of Great Zhong, and to free his brother from prison, and to make his brother king, Duke Ling promised that if the Lordship of Chang invaded and liberated Qing Guo, that in turn, Qing Guo will protect them from their rivals which were, the Shunese Empire and the Theocracy of Gui Guo. The government of the Lordship of Chang accepted the deal, under one condition that after the invasion, Qing Guo will give North Tanguo, which will give them access to the sea's rich trade routes. The deal was signed and the invasion set for 125 YA. However there was one problem, Duke Ling knew that the government of the Chang did not have enough wealth to fund such an invasion. Duke Ling, however, had a plan.

The Invasion

On one morning in 125 YA, the first group of Chang soldiers marched across the border into the Kingdom of Great Zhong, they then took North Tanguo’s regional capital Fuzhouinan, where Duke Ling's government was headed. Duke Ling, pretending that his troops were under attack, then called for a lump sum of funding for the war effort to fight the Chang. His uncle, King Zhong answered the call and sent in a ton of his gold to stop the invaders, however, this was a trick. When Duke Ling received the funds, he simply gave them to the Chang, to build up an army and to crush Zhong’s evil kingdom, King Zhong was, in reality, using the money he took from the poor, to fund his own demise, which he did not know. The invasion went well, battles were won, and the last blows were made to the Kingdom of Great Zhong when the capital Shaoyang was taken. King Zhong and his army were surrounded by all sides. King Zhong surrendered and a new peace treaty was signed. The treaty transferred North Tanguo to the Lordship of Chang, freed Xiao, placed Zhong under house arrest, and abolished the Kingdom of Great Zhong, and in its place, a short-lived provisional government led by Ling.

A New Era

In 127 YA, two years after the invasion ended, Ling had to organize the government. He first created a constitution with the help of his advisers. The constitution revived and recreated the Kingdom of Qing Guo, it was rewritten to protect the rights of ethnic, sexual, and religious minorities, it also protected women’s rights. The constitution dealt with the secession and made Xiao the king and Ling the first Prime Minister. There were parliament elections every five years, there was also freedom of speech and expression. Hate speech was no longer tolerated and in 128 YA the former King Zhong had his court hearing and was given a life sentence for his crimes. In 129 YA the two nations, the Free Kingdom of Hezhou Guo, the Republic of Taiguo, were unstable and decided to rejoin the Kingdom of Qing Guo under one banner. King Xiao then married the gay love of his life Yoshino, who then became Prince-Consort.

The Planned Invasion of the Holy State of Yichang

In 130 YA, King Xiao, wanted to liberate the people of Yichang from religious tyranny, he advised a plan to invade the Holy State of Yichang, however, Prime Minister Ling, his brother, was against the invasion, as war with Yichang, meant war with Theocracy of Gui Guo, which also meant war with the Kingdom of Son Guo, who were all in a defensive pact. Ling believed that more attention should be paid to the people and the economy. After hearing from his brother, King Xiao then decided to wait and placed more attention on domestic issues.
