She was a girl who had been born to a small country village to a very extremely reserved family. She had never thought much of her family as they were all very quiet and hardworking. They were reserved, humble and spiritual. They were good people kind with big hearts, the kind of hearts though that people has seen that were good and kind and would take advantage of though.
She was different though from her family. She was outspoken, hot tempered and a dreamer. She was always in trouble with her family and others in the town. She stuck out they said, and they called her strange and most people avoided her. She never let it get to her though, as she knew it was them being mediocre or average. She was just born different and knew it from her daily interactions with others.
Often it got her into arguments with her father. He would tell her to calm down and to just behave herself. She tried but her spirit and body struggled to stay calm she had this rage. She would question her father about it and his reply would be no I stay calm & don’t allow my emotions to get the best of me. He would end the conversation and never allow it to go any further. Always telling her to drop it. It always left her feeling so broken and so empty.
For some reason she could feel the need for knowledge of ancient Japanese wisdom, traditions and their practices. She couldn’t explain it, her unnecessary need for ancient Japanese wisdom. The more she learnt the more she yearned and was curious and the reason why she had wanted to know so badly. Her day to day life was mundane, and maybe her imagination running wildly wanting to create a better life then the one she currently had, so she could escape from it all.
She was curious though she had seen a few dragons statues at the temple her father prayed at. So she decided to gather all of her courage and strength in order to speak with him about it. He was in the temple sweeping up when she approached him. She then asked him what the significance of dragons were for the family ? He looked at her for a moment and his face lit up and he walked into a back room and waved his hand for her to follow him in.
Behind the heavy wooden doors there were two individual dragon statues one was white and the other was red. They were massive statues which shocked her. They were also hand carved. She asked her family why they had the dragons and he explained that for thousands of years they have had dragon protectors over the family. The reason why is due to the courage of the family in my wars.
The dragon would start trying to contact spiritually people in the family once they had found them worthy of having or knowing about their prescence. Her father was shocked due to her age that they would contact her but he looked proudly at her and stated that it was her time.
She was worthy of the knowledge and power that had been passed down through the dragons and journey. He warned her that the journey would not be easy but that she would get through it with their guidance and also wisdom. That the chosen one was to change the world and to evolve. He explained that they were both now her protectors in life.
He looked proudly at her which was a shock to her because for so long it felt like they hadn’t been so connected but not she felt emotions and that deep connection to him. She know felt closer to her family and more accepted more then ever. He told her to go about her day and to enjoy the sunshine outside. He would see her in a few hrs, as she walked outside and felt the sunshine on her face it felt different. It felt warm and her skin tingled it’s almost like she was reborn and had never really felt the sunshine before.
She enjoyed her day outside even as she was walking all the locals who usually ignored her waved to her. It was like she was a completely different girl. Throughout the day people smiled at her and she smiled back. She felt amazing walking home and as she walked into the door she seen a huge dinner on the table waiting for her. Her family made her favorite dinner and she was extremely happy. How thoughtful they had been this had turned out to be the best day of her life.
While she was eating her mother and father both smiled at her. She felt so much happiness, her father looked at their mother and then her mother nodded. Her father turned and begun to explain to her that it would be required for her to start a journey in the next few weeks. That she would be required to go through the woods and take on the adventure to be more connected. That the dragons would guide her through this, her heart fluttering as she was nervous but somehow she felt calm.
Her father explained she would need alot of rest over the next few weeks. She would use this time to prepare herself. He told her that she was brave, smart and have the dragons that she should not fear anything that she needed to go through. She hugged her mother and father and felt their love. She went to sleep and was very calm.
Over the next few weeks, everyone in the town continued to be extremely supportive to her. Her mother and father feeding her big and healthy meals as she would need the energy when she goes on the journey they had explained. And every night she went to sleep extremely early.
The night before the trip was different her father grabbed her bag and began packing it with items. The items included a knife in case she needed to kill something to eat. A map and a compass to guide her. A shovel to build a fire pit in case she needed to stay warm, matches to light fires and a blanket to stay warm. He then told her to go to bed, and rest up before her long journey tomorrow.
She listened and went to sleep soundly. Knowing that tomorrow she wouldn’t be in her bed tomorrow and that she would be in a completely different place in the woods asleep. She wokeup in thé morning to her mother putting food and warm clothes on her floor. Her mother smiled and told her to eat and get dressed. As she got dressed she felt excitement and courage.
As she headed outside she seen her father looking at her calmly. He handed her the backpack that he had packed for her last night. Hugged her and waved goodbye as she waved she felt sad but excited about the journey ahead. She headed to the edge of the forest clearing that the map she held told her to enter into. She took a deep breath and prepared herself for an adventure.
