The Bench

53-word short, short story

By Mark GrahamPublished 9 months ago 1 min read
Winter Woods (pexels.com)

There was a bench all covered with snow. In the woods deep inside a park. This bench sits wondering when will the people be back and sit and have conversations again while sitting on me. I so do love the sound of voices of all kinds. When will the voices return for me.

(I hope he won't mind by Mr. Paul Stewart gave me this idea of writing 53-word stories from an article he wrote.)

I find wooden bench in wilderness poignant, as if inviting to sit.

That is interesting...a 53 word story. i feel how lonely the bench is. The stories it could tell. The Drabble is 100 words, another one I discovered here.
