That Little Boy

Once upon a time, a baby boy was born and he was a miracle. And God smiled. He set this one apart because He knew his heart and path long before he was born. "There will be plenty of athletes ; I have other plans for this one"

The little boy grew up, got married and became a father to a baby girl. And God smiled. As time went on, the couple ended up going their separate ways but one detail remained as a testament to finding the blessing in the trials- a beautiful daughter. The difficult times remind us that God is right there, that He hears us when we cry out His name. He knows the pain we conceal, the burdens we silently carry because we think we deserve it.

This little girl was born into this world to leave her mark and God picked that little boy, from the very beginning, to be her Dad. He knew that she would have a servant's heart (He gave it to her) and He's heard her sing worship songs with her Dad. He knew that the Dad He chose for her would raise her to love God and nurture her kindness and creativity. That the little girl would bring smiles and love abounding to the Dad that He chose. He brought the blessings, and He alone knows His plans for them.

It all started once upon a time when a baby boy was born. A miracle. And God smiles still.
