Terrible Roommates
It was supposed to be the best time of their lives. Four college students, all friends from high school, had decided to rent an off-campus apartment together. They had big dreams of partying, studying, and making memories that would last a lifetime. But as soon as they moved in, they realized they had made a terrible mistake.
Their first clue should have been the smell. It was a strange, musty odor that seemed to permeate every inch of the apartment. They tried opening windows, lighting candles, and even spraying air freshener, but nothing seemed to work. It was like the smell had become a part of the walls themselves.
Their second clue should have been the mess. There were dirty dishes piled up in the sink, empty pizza boxes strewn across the floor, and a layer of dust on every surface. It was like their roommates had never learned how to clean up after themselves. They tried to take turns doing the dishes and vacuuming, but it always seemed like they were fighting an uphill battle.
And then there were their roommates themselves. The first was a guy named Dave, who seemed to spend all his time playing video games and never left the apartment. He would emerge from his room only to grab a snack or use the bathroom, and then disappear back into his cave. The second was a girl named Amy, who was constantly on the phone with her boyfriend, crying and complaining about their relationship. She would blast sad music and make the common area a depressing place to be. The third was a guy named Tim, who was always inviting friends over for impromptu parties that lasted late into the night. They would leave the place a mess and the noise level was unbearable.
The four friends tried to talk to their roommates about the problems, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Dave would just grunt and shrug, Amy would burst into tears and say it was all their fault, and Tim would just laugh and say they were being too uptight. It was clear that they were in for a long year.
Things reached a breaking point when one of the roommates, they were never sure which one, started stealing food. At first it was just a few snacks here and there, but soon it escalated to entire meals disappearing from the fridge. They tried labeling their food with their names, but that only seemed to make things worse. They knew they had to take action.
So they came up with a plan. They would throw a fake party and invite all their roommates' friends. They would make sure to serve all their favorite foods and drinks, but they would also spike them with laxatives. It was a risky move, but they were desperate.
The night of the party arrived, and their roommates were thrilled. They had no idea it was all a setup. They invited all their friends over and started to party like it was their last night on earth. The four friends waited nervously in their rooms, praying that their plan would work.
And boy, did it work. Within an hour, their roommates and all their friends were running to the bathroom, clutching their stomachs in agony. They were so sick that they couldn't even accuse anyone of spiking the food. The four friends were relieved, but also a little guilty. They had never imagined things would get this bad.
The next morning, the apartment was a disaster. There were vomit stains on the carpet, empty bottles and cans strewn across the floor, and a smell so foul that they had to keep all the windows open. But strangely enough, their roommates were much more respectful after that. They started cleaning up after themselves, being quieter at night, and even apologizing for their behavior.
It was like the laxatives had knocked some sense into
