Tales of the Unlucky face
Be responsible for your actions

Once upon a time, in a nestled kingdom between towering mountains and lush forests, there lived an aged servant in the Kingdom known as Old Pami. Despite his kind demeanor and gentle smile, rumors branded him as the bearer of misfortune to those who saw him first thing in the morning. He was dubbed the "Unlucky Face" by the kingdom's people.
The superstition spread quickly through the village, whispered among the villagers as they went about their daily routines. One fateful morning, the King chanced upon Old Pami first, recalling the tales of the unlucky face. Startled, he swiftly closed the shutters, convinced that encountering Old Pami had doomed his day. True to his fears, misfortune seemed to haunt the King throughout that day: slips, illness striking his daughter, a pounding headache, and even skipping meals. Blaming Old Pami for his woes, the King avoided the old man for the remainder of the day.
By evening, overwhelmed by these events, the King rashly ordered Old Pami's execution for the next morning. However, his wise counselor intervened, urging him to reconsider. Summoned before the council, Old Pami timidly admitted to being seen by the King that morning. The council members reassured the King that while his day had been filled with troubles, none had been life-threatening.
Realizing his error and the injustice of blaming someone for their appearance causing misfortune, the King felt a pang of guilt. He acknowledged that perhaps it was mere coincidence that his day had gone awry. He revoked the death sentence and declared that no face could bring misfortune upon another. He emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and learning from mistakes, rather than scapegoating others for perceived bad luck.
As time passed, the tale of the "unlucky face" faded away, replaced by a lesson in understanding and empathy. Old Pami continued to live peacefully in the kingdom, sharing his wisdom with those who sought it. His story became a reminder that true fortune lies not in superstitions, but in compassion and goodwill towards others.
