Dracs of The Chronicles of Enchantments

Below are some notes on a few of the "most popular dragons" among Trindavin records passed down by various scholars and explorers within the book series, The Chronicles of Enchantments.

The Eldest Dragon - Common Tongue Scrolls
According to many of the written records, the eldest dragon is thousands of years old and grew to the size of six colossal mountains. It rarely shows itself, because it thrives in the dark depths of The Great Aqua.
This ancient beast is a massive, female Aqua Drac. It is prophesied that she will emerge at the time of The Divine War. She’s been lurking at the bottom of the ocean eating gigantic creatures in the dark.
Cordatusmalymphia is her full drac name given to her by Aqua herself, who had a part to play in her creation. The majority of common tongue scripts also call her “Corda” while some refer to her as “Lymphia.”

The Blood Caves
After the murder of the Kovan King by the hand of his own son, many new customs and traditions were implemented. One of them was Gladiator-style events hosted deep underground “for the people” of the new, young King. He believed this would encourage men to view dragons as common beasts and no longer see them as respectable divinities.
The dragons captured are being killed for entertainment to keep the majority of people distracted. The boy King of Kovan claims that the dragons are not invincible - they can be killed by a man.
The men captured young dragons from Dovena, some when they were just eggs. The King of Kovan had cannibalistic dragons he ordered the men to use if a particular dragon was too strong to be killed by a man. They would force the drac into a tight space and unleash the cannibals.
The cannibalism was often committed by Blood Dragons - Sanguis Dracs. Some eat their prey like spiders, sucking the life/blood out of them while others just try to eat their victims whole.
This is all for the entertainment of the young King’s men. He invites out his entire Kingdom, all of his people, to distract them with the bloodshed of dragons to give them a stronger belief that their King can control and destroy gods.
Many across all of Trindavin view dragons as ascended and evolved creatures - so to them, they are considered gods - but this young King is trying to eliminate the belief in gods and wants others to see him as the “mightiest being” - having challenged any entities that were once believed to be divinities. However, this mockery of the “higher powers” has put a large target on his back - the biggest believers know his attack is a threat because the collected belief in a god is a portion of the source of their powers.
The more dragons he has slaughtered, the further he has strived to accumulate a following in a new movement to bring to life a world without divine intervention - which he feels is increasing his strength, but soon the wild dragons throughout the world will begin standing up to him.
The few dracs that are on the King’s side are either possessed with Shadow Spirits because of Demise or they are happily accepting the benefits the young King manipulates them with.
One of the blood dragons has a brother who is thriving in the wild and has begun to share visions with the people to scare them while he balances his options on how to attack The Blood Caves and the Kovan King.
The eldest Sanguis Drac they have in captivity some call “Death’s Beast.” This male drac was named Brutumexmors by his mother when she laid his egg.
Brutumexmors is over five hundred years old - but living in captivity for a long time has significantly reduced his potential growth. His true size could’ve been much greater, like his brother’s.
Brutumexmors’s brother is a Sanguis Drac that is over nine hundred years old. When his egg had been laid, his mother gave him the name Cruorcupitordaemonith - some just call him “Bloodthirsty Demon.”
The father of Cruorcupitordaemonith and Brutumexmors was named Visquaesitor.
One of the most powerful Sanguis Dracs to live, Visquaesitor, thrived among Colossals thousands of years before Trindavin’s formation. This ancient dragon had a reputation for violence - his power search was littered with dead.
He died many centuries ago in an enormous battle of Colossals, as a Colossal Sanguis Drac facing a Colossal Mors Drac.

Mors Drac - Death Dragon
These beasts are extremely rare and some say they are neither living nor dead. The bodies are “made of Death” - bits of the rotting corpses of its victims.
Occasusrenatusnia, Demise’s own Drac at that time, was a monolithic Mors Drac - Death Dragon.
The bodies of Mors Dracs are made up of bits and pieces of decomposing - rotting corpses of their prey - so whatever they eat, a part remains with the dragon.
Most do not "live" very long since after all they’re neither living nor dead - from the time they hatch, the more they eat, the more “dead” they become. They’re “hard to kill” in some records - however, they have a weakness only a few learned.
They do not live long because as they transform over time, their ever-changing rotting bodies contain bits of memories - copies from the source that attach to their soul - in time these memories of the creatures they’ve consumed eventually drive them insane. Some of these dragons gradually “rot” into a new creature. These memories are just copies - the real memories remain with the conscious/soul from the body that was devoured.
When a Mors Drac dies - some enter a transformation process that can vary - some are similar to a phoenix rising from ashes, some like caterpillars with cocoons. The other Death Dragons that do not transform, decay until their soul is finally released.
Demise's Mors Drac at the time of Visquaesitor's death, was the cause of it - he was her last kill.
Gradually after she killed Visquaesitor, she "died" and transformed. Her figure turned into a brilliant dark red cocoon, that soon cracked open with her emerging reborn in the form of a beautiful Papilio Drac - "Butterfly Dragon."
Occasusrenatusnia grew powerful shimmering scarlet wings with golden markings all over her new body. The crimson scales that protected her body were extremely sturdy with golden edges.
Demise, frustrated that destroying Visquaesitor meant sacrificing his dragon, rapidly sought to kill his enemy's mate and offspring. However, he couldn't ever hunt them down. It is believed by a few that his own former Mors Drac, Occasusrenatusnia, after completely evolving from her metamorphosis, helped protect them and keep them safe.
The individuals who follow this belief claim that since she carried a piece of Visquaesitor after killing him, a copy of the memory of his family latched itself to her own heart, leading her to sympathize with the grief-stricken mate and their now fatherless babies.
Gerulaexpulcuror is the name of Visquaesitor's mate - the mother of Cruorcupitordaemonith and Brutumexmors. Some referred to this immensely strong female dragon as "Bearer of Beautiful Blood" due to the records of her gorgeous genetics among Sanguis Dracs. The daughters and sons she brought into the world often had charming eyes - some with purple, blue, and gold - a rare few had a mix of these colors.
Together Visquaesitor and Gerulaexpulcuror cared for several clutches of eggs over hundreds of years. These two Colossal Dracs fought several monumental battles against other Colossals and Deities over hundreds of years.

Occasusrenatusnia hatched with this name due to her spirit having a twisted future between close lifetimes - "occasus renatus" which translates to "ruin reborn."
Her father, an unknown entity as well as her mother, seemed to abandon her when she was just an egg - some believe Demise played a part in her creation similar to Cordatusmalymphia with Aqua - but the exact details of her origin remain unknown.

Fulgur Drac - Lightning Dragon
Flare's dragon, Fulgarith, a Fulgur Drac (an extremely rare breed of drac) - Lightning Dragon, is well-known for having lethal abilities. These creatures are made of high-voltage energy - blue, purple, and white scales shimmering with sparks with every move. They can unleash electrical storms, breathe blue flames, and strike with lightning bolts and rays.
