Super Power Reseach
As Submitted To The Epic Beginnings Challenge

Sitting behind the reference desk, Miss Dewey projected intellegence when Nadine entered, needing assistance in finding direction.
“Do you have archive a Paper Mill Productions archive?”
Miss Dewey pointed, “I do not, but Dr. Google does,” she advised the modern-day adolescent, searching for tomorrow.
Taking the gesture in stride, Nadine placed her teenage pocketbook down using her well-manicured fingernails, inputted words transcribed from the keyboard.
Writing ‘Paper Mill Production’ Nadine pressed ‘enter’ and not even a second elapsed, the message replied, ‘data unavailable’.
Shrugging shoulders Nadine stood up, "Miss Dewey, it said data unavailable’ the high school student reported.
“I do not know, how that could have happened,” Miss Dewey reached into her desk, “here take this magical key, go behind the lobby mailbox, unlock the combination. There are hardcopies of the Paper Mill Production from the first edition to last.”
“Nothing on the Internet?”
“Nope,”
Finding the postal area, Nadine discovered where local stories were saved.
Stacks of scrapbooks appeared when the door opened, ‘wow!” Nadine exclaimed, feeling a supernatural sensation flow through her body. Due to the ‘research initiation rite’ completed, Miss Dewey invaded Nadine’s fascination moment, ‘you are now filled with library knowledge, research is a super power, here take this wet napkin container.”
“How did I get this super power? You speak of,”
“You asked the reference desk for help,”
“And” Nadine paused, “what are these?’
“You may have library superpowers but going through all these materials the old way, you will need to clean print off your hands.”
“Hide the fact I was here,” Nadine concluded.
“Yes, knowledge is a very interesting super power, use it properly.” Miss Dewey warned returning to her decimal system.
