"Super Hero Sam"

Running through his home, leaping from chair to chair, he imagined in his four year old mind that he was a true hero, a super hero. When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up , with no hesitation " I'm a super hero" he would always respond.

He had begged his mother to make him a super hero suit and she had obliged by cutting the feet from his sleeper pajamas and making a cape from an old set of super hero curtains that once hung in his room. She added a pair of tights that had been his sisters, for a mask, she cut from felt, hooked elastic ties on it and placed it over his head snuggly covering his eyes. At that moment he was transformed into a real life super hero!

With his super sonic ears he was able to hear the slightest cry for help from any being in need, he could see much farther than the "normal" person too! He could jump higher, and run faster, than anyone he knew. He anticipated when he grew up he would be given additional super powers, until then he excitedly waited and wondered how magnificent they would be.

He insisted his friends all call him "Super Hero Sam", and they did so, they would find themselves calling on Sam when they needed a hero. He had rescued many cats and dogs from perilous situations through out his child hood, a couple rabbits and a hamster too. One time the Johnsons car had rolled backwards down the street with Janie's baby sister in the carseat, he had ran his fastest and jumped so high he flew in and stopped the car from rolling. Yep, he was a Super hero for sure!
