Sunset of Love
A Heartfelt Microfiction Story of Farewell
As the sun began to set on their final day together, Sarah and Mark sat on the edge of the cliff, watching the waves crash below.
"I don't want to go," Mark said, his voice cracking.
"I know," Sarah replied, tears streaming down her face. "But you have to."
They held hands tightly, not wanting to let go, as they watched the sun dip below the horizon.
"I'll miss you so much," Mark said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I'll miss you too," Sarah replied, choking back a sob. "But we'll always have these memories together."
With one last embrace, they let go, and Sarah watched as Mark walked away, disappearing into the horizon.
"I love you," Mark called out.
"I love you too," Sarah replied, her voice barely audible.
She knew she would never forget him, and that this was the last goodbye she would ever have to say
