Standing Tall
The Advice vs The Bully
“Let them remember you”… Those were the last words his grandpa ever said to him. Billy’s crying. He’s hiding from his bully under the stairs. His grandpa’s words give him comfort and courage. He wipes his tears and stands tall, full of purpose. He marches down the corridor to sign up for the school talent show.
The kids go crazy as Billy hits the high notes. He catches his bully dancing. He nods his head. A small gesture, but it means a lot to Billy. He thinks of his grandpa. A tear runs down his cheek. He wears it proudly.

Hi Simon ~ I'm so pleased that I've discovered your creations from a comment on VM Chat. May I introduce myself? I'm Jay, just a retired "Goof Writer" with Senior Newsletter Group followers; not in contest at all. *I've subscribed to you with pleasure and will certainly check out "Behind Your Smile" ~ One never knows ~ I've just written a piece 'Am I Choosing UP?' As you say, "The-Truth" - fascinates me how many different perspectives come out of a simple (3) minute short. - As I Scroll your Work ~ Your Presentations are Lovely - Jay Kantor, Chatsworth, California 'Senior' Vocal Author - Vocal Author Community
Beautifully simple & charming. Great counsel, too.
This is so beautiful, Simon. So short, but so impactful! Loved it! Well done!
