Nola Snelling was born a normal girl to a loving family. As she got older, however, there were instances where she felt that she was being watched or that she wasn’t alone. At first, these feelings rarely happened, so Nola could just shrug it off. Then the feelings became more constant. By the time she was seventeen, Nola couldn’t wave those feelings off anymore.
One day, her parents took her to see her paternal grandmother in the hospital, who was there for a gallbladder removal. The surgery was a success, and when Nola was waiting by her grandmother’s bedside alone, she felt that they were being watched. After she whipped her head around to find no one there, her grandmother asked her what was wrong. Unable to take it anymore, Nola confessed to everything, not caring what her grandmother might think.
However, her grandmother nodded and assured Nola that she wasn’t crazy. She was just sensitive to the presence of ghosts. Nola couldn’t say anything as her grandmother took off her beloved blue knitted headband, gave it to Nola, and told her to wear it. Nola was confused but she did what she was told. She immediately saw her dead grandfather, who greeted her warmly.
Nola was then informed how the women in their family line were attuned to the presence of spirits, though they could only interact with them with the magic headband on, which was given to them by a sorcerer many generations ago.
While many spirits, like her grandfather, were only watching over their loved ones, some she will have to exorcise. Nola could even choose to let a spirit possess her for a short amount of time. Her grandmother will teach her more about everything later.
The new Spirit Eyes couldn’t wait.

Rebecca Patton
Ever since discovering Roald Dahl, I wanted to be an author who would delight and move her readers through her stories. I also wrote my debut novel, "Of Demons and Deception" on Amazon.
