Spinderella

A bite from the Prince

By Ruby Estelle Published 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 15 min read

Once upon a time, as I am sure most of you have heard,

there was a girl. Her name was Cinderella, and she was a beautiful young maid to her stepmothers and stepsisters. She awaited the day that her Prince Charming would swipe her off her feet, and if you know the story you wouldn't be surprised to hear that one day he did. Indeed!

Bittersweet was the surprise Cinderella was in for the night she snuck off to the ball. She would have never imagined that her Prince Charming so handsome and so tall was actually in disguise. They danced so well, and oh what the fairytale the night was! "I feel like I'm in a dream." She sang to herself. That was until the clock began to strike twelve and she ran in terror and in freight as he wasn't who he seemed.

"Oh- fairy godmother how could this be?" She asked in terror and fright holding her hands near her mouth after looking around in hopes that she would find her in the empty crowd, but there was nothing and no one around. As she stopped in the dark she was defened by a snap of a twig and she turned startled to find. There he was with his dark handsome eyes that were now glowing in the moonlight standing behind her.

"Cinderella- no! Don't go. How will I find you after midnight has gone? Don't look at me any differently, I am still a good man just wait until the full moon has passed." He snarled with the last human breathe that he took before the clock finished striking twelve and he grabbed her by the arm and he shook.

"No! Someone - someone please help me! Prince Charming is a monster, oh no!" Her quiet voice echoed in the distance as everyone continued to dance away in the castle completely oblivious. There was no one around to hear her but she could hear the sound of hooves and knew that it was someone, and cried out in distress, "Fairy Godmother! Is it you? Oh tell me- what should I do?"

Before she could utter another word he gently picked her up and took a bite from her neck. Her shoe fell off as he held onto her tight lifting her in the air. The Prince let her go muttering under his breath and grabbed her shoe from the ground as she fainted, and he slipped away away back in the night. A bright light grew closer to where they were standing, and from the dust of where he once stood a cloud of sparkley smoke whireled around her and she stood up dazed and confused.

Without remembering a single thing since dancing at the ball she looked down at her foot, and looked back at him exclaiming. "Prince Charming!" She could see his shadow in the distance moving fast far from her by her shoe sparkling in his right hand. "Please, come back! Oh- what have you my slipper for?" When she started to run after him she looked down only to find her beautiful dress had turned back into rags as the moon shone down on her and she stopped in her tracks.

"Oh no! Fairy Godmother said the spell would wear off not long after the clock finished striking twelve! How could this be? Hopefully my Prince Charming he does not see me!" She singsonged to herself out loud.

Nervously looking around hoping that no one noticed she could see her Fairy Grandmothers horse come closer. The lantern that she carried was brightly shining and she ran up to her exclaiming, "I met Prince Charming, and we shared a dance!" She said loudly and her Fairy Godmother halted the horse nodding with a smile and signled for her to jump on. "But than, all of a sudden I wound up here and he ran away with one of my slippers. I was going to chase after him, but like you said..."

Cinderellas' voice trailed off and her Fairy Godmother gave her a look. "I see my dear princess, and what has happened to you? You look quite shook as though you must have fallen on the ground! Are you okay - me oh my on earth what did you do?" Concerned she looked at her closey while helping her up on the horse.

"I am fine. Let's go back. I am so tired, and not to mention hangry. I could eat a whole cow!" A hunger suddenly creeped up on Cinderella and after the long night of dancing she thought nothing of it but couldn't think of anything but sneaking some of her step mothers meat from the kitchen.

Together they rode back to the mansion where her evil step mother was stirring in her bed, and her evil step sisters were as well and one of them loudly bumped their head. clunk. Their sleeping spell was wearing off and they were grogilly waking up to the sound of hooves against the cobblestone outside as they approached. Knowing this would be the case Cinderellas fairy godmother stopped quickly for the young girl to get down from the horse while holding out her wand she muttered a spell under her breathe that put them back to rest until the morning.

Sneaking in the house quickly and quietly the young girl ran into the kitchen and grabbed whatever she could find. Hoping that her step mother would not notice what was gone with insatiable hunger she scarfed down more than she had ever stomached before. Cleaning up her crumbs she left behind o up to her bedroom to change and get ready for bed.

Brushing her hair she had to stop herself from humming her favorite song in worries that she would wake up her evil step sisters and their mother as she dazed and day dreamed about dancing with Prince Charming. With a dreamy gaze she looked at herself when she noticed something strange. Looking closer she gasped aghast to find that she had two bite marks barely visible to the eye on her neck.

"Oh no! What could this be? I must call Fairy Godmother immediately. Have I been posioned from eating their meat? Perhaps a curse from dancing with the Prince under a spell or walking away without both slippers on my feet!" She questioned aloud whispering to herself. Frantically she got up and snuck back out of the house and called to her Fairy Godmother.

"Don't you worry Cinderella," Her Fairy Godmother said to her after she told her what she thought. "It was most certainly just a spider bite you didn't notice before. It'll be gone by morning." Muttering a few words under her breathe she gave Cinderella a potion and *Poof* Without a trace or a word she dissapeared back into thin air.

Obediently not questioning her Fairy Godmother by calling her back she closed her eyes and whispered three words to herself before drinking the magical elixir. It stung going down her throat and it burned in her stomache and she cried back out to her Fairy Godmother but the pain soon went away and she did not come back and she felt fine.

The next morning she woke up and tiredly Cinderella did her morning chores as usual. Thinking of her Prince Charming she was sad as she realized that she would probably never see him again. Even if she did he wouldn't regonize her as anyone more than a peasent. Wiping the tears from her eyes she hummed to herself her favorite song and dished up breakfast when moments later her step mother came bursting through the kitchen doors looking truely disastrous.

"Cinderella!" She said in a high pitched voice. "Where is our breakfast! We're hungry!" Hurrying Cinderella who had barely finished making it in time turned around to console her evil step mother.

"It is here, and it is finished. If you would be so kind to move out of my way that you may grant me a minute that I may carry it out for you!" Hastely she picked up all of their plates putting them on the breakfast tray and carried them out while her evil step mother stared at her and glared with an evil smirk.

"No breakfast for you if you spill you horendous child!" Evily her step mother mocked her under her breathe and cackled a cackle so loud that even the evil step sisters looked startled as they watched Cinderella bring them their breakfast. "Eat in the kitchen today. We would like to be to ourselves." The evil step mother royaly scoffed.

Cinderella set down the tray and gave everyone their dish before hurridly going back in the kitchen sighing with relief that she didn't have to, and in fact couldn't eat breakfast with her evil step sisters and evil step mother. When her father was away from town it would mean that she could eat her breakfast in peace in the backyard.

She gathered her food, and without thinking she quickly snuck in the fridge paranoid her step mothe would come barging in barking demands and snuck some raw meat hiding it in the apron of her dress. Thinking it was odd she started feeling dizzy and her mouth watered at the sight. "My what is going on? Something isn't quite right!" She snapped her fingers and she clicked her tounge and started to hum to distract herself from feeling out of sorts.

Checking a small crack in the door before taking her food outside of the kitchen into the back yard she could see they were not going to come asking for anymore from her. They were gossiping and laughing in their evil demeor and she stuck her nose in the air and walked off that she was no longer near. Pushing the door open with her foot while holding her own tray of food she stopped in her tracks.

There laid on the ground in front of her was a big boot. A little mouse came running from it as she sat down on the step near it, and to her surprise another and another and even a mother. Then there was no more and there it was. A mysterious boot and no one to claim it. "Well. Well. Well!" She muttered to herself. "What do we have here?" Confused but amused in its humor she kicked it away under the bush that her step mother wouldn't spank her toosh.

Always getting blamed for things that she took no part in, but part of her wanted to go and throw it in her evil step mothers unweeded garden. "Don't touch my flowers and my plants you horrible wreck! if you do, they'll be certain to not grow.." The words of her step mother echoed and she suddenly felt a pain in her neck where the bites were. Quickly growing hungry and remembering her meat she pulled it from her pocket and ate it hungrily.

"Oh what has come over me?" She said after she finished, "That tasted awful, but yet it was so...satisfying!" Thinking that maybe she had something missing in her diet she quickly indulged in the rest of her food stuffing her mouth and forgetting her manners. Not that they mattered as there was no one else around, at least that is what she thought until an apple landed near her on the ground.

When she looked up she could see a boy across the gardens picking another apple of the tree and looking at her with mischeif in his sparkling blue eyes. "Why who are you, and what do you do? Must make your way out of this yard or my step mother will send the dogs after you!" Keeping in mind that there were no dogs around but her evil step sisters to be had around she let out a little chuckle imagining if they ran after him how far he would run.

He threw up his arms above his head bellowing with confidence "It is me!" and not cowering instead. "I am I!" The young man than lowered them laughing and taking a bite from his apple he walked closer. "I am the muffin man!" and to her surprise her pulled a muffin from his satchel and as he walked up to her he balanced it upon his head.

"The muffin man you say?" In disbelief at what she was seeing she worried that her evil step mother would come out and so she walked up to him and swiped it from his head. Without thinking twice she scarfed that down too mumbling in enjoyment of the sweet blueberry muffin that she had rudely taken from him. "Wow- Oh sir, you have no idea. I've never had such a good muffin before, it tasted so good, but you must leave now! Shoo! Go! Before the dogs getchya."

Without hesitation she picked up the apple of the ground and threw it at him before picking up her food tray and running back inside. Startled the young man was no longer to be seen as she locked the door behind her before her step mother heard him and came to make a scene. "Oh what a handsome young man, and what a yummy treat! Maybe it was him.. The boot came from his feet?" She said to herself when through the quiet of her voice her step mother came through the door.

"What is it that you say? Who and what now child? Come clean up these dishes you filthy rat! And stop speaking jibberish and nonsense to yourself. Speak only when spoken to." The step mother was the devil in disguise, and she wasn't getting any nicer as the summer days were going by. why? Why must she always be so cruel?

Poor Cinderella went back to her chores quietly without saying not even another word. Oh there must be a day when I can get away, but perhaps not today. Maybe he knows a way or has a sister to spare although I am sure she is quite beautiful and pleasent, but maybe she isn't and maybe he wouldn't care. The thought of escaping dawned on Cinderella as such a happy thought that she even considered giving her step mother another girl but secretly she wished that she would just rot.

She went to bed that night dreaming of her prince and even had a dream that he was fighting for her with her mysterious new neighbor. The thought settled her not even in the littlest bit, but when she woke up in the morning the strange thought for some reason she was comforted by it. Until suddenly a strange thought came to mind maybe he was her brother and she was his sister and he could save her after all with the Prince and in the dream it was all a misunderstanding!

This thought got her up and going lightheared on her feet. Running through the house humming and doing all of her chores her step sisters ran out of their room "What is all of this ruckus for? Stop making that noise with your mouth! The Prince is on his way here and we're going to need that sound out. Now grab us our gowns, and do up our hair, and than go wash our underwear!" They couldn't have possibly asked nicer, and she sighed in dismay nodding her head okay.

Suddenly she missed the prince and remembered dreaming about his kiss, and went off to fetch there dress and to that and this. When she came back they were giggling amongst themselves and they were both so excited. They almost were as though they could act like they were nice and for a moment Cinderella felt enlightened. She too wished that she could dress up in her best, but she remembered they didn't know about her Fairy Godmother and they wouldn't allow any of this.

"Oh how am I going to get his attention to?" She accidently blurted out loud thinking to herself.

With a fake expression of smpathy they said in unision, "Oh Cinderella! Don't worry. You're so ugly you won't need to, but do hurry and do our hair!" and that was the end of that. Cinderella reluctently did as they asked doing it her best so they wouldn't request that she redid her strenuous task. Even though they both had rotten souls they had long beautiful hair and it took a lot of work to make it perfect and sometimes they made her do it three times.

It wasn't long before there was a knock at the door, and Cinderella wished nothing less than that she could dance with the prince some more. "Oh mother! Come open the door for us and introduce us, and get this muddy twiddly dumb dumb out of her!" The evil step sisters said as she gazed at the door holding their brush. "Shooo! Shooo!" They said, again in unison.

"Let's embarass Cinderella girls. Don't be so quick to shoo her away. Let's show her how you two blow him away! Reminder of how she will never find a man of her own some day. Didn't I raise you better than to turn away a great opportunity to learn how great that you are?" The evil step mother said with a cackle and a grin. She opened the door and the Prince put one foot in.

"Hello. As you have been informed that I have summoned the attention of every beautiful damsel in town as I hope to find the one that will wear the crown." The Prince said as handsome as he could possibly be, and the girls batted their eyelashes and smiled from ear to ear bearing their crooked goofy teeth. "Neither of you two look like the princess from the ball that wore this slipper!"

The prince reacted quickly and the step sisters took a look at eachother with question and confusion. "Ball? What ball?" One of the evil step sisters said. The other kicked her underneath her dress and stepped on her toe shhing at her quite obviously before sticking up her nose.

"Don't mind her silly question can't you see that her memory is bad. As you had us both under your spell, but the dance that we shared I am sure it is the best you've ever had!" The other evil step sister said with confidence and a smile.

Cinderella looked up meeting eyes with the prince before looking down hiding her smile reminsing on his beautiful lips. "No I am sure of it that it wasn't you what do you take me for? A Scoundrel who can't remember the obnoxious faces of two hideous girls? You've got to be kidding me, and look youve dropped something on the floor." The girls looked, but there was nothing there and he laughed at his joke and held up the slipper.

"If any of you fit this slipper than you are who I am looking for. Granted that it was dark out, and I will give you all the equal opportunity. Every other big footed woman in this neighborhood and none of them fit. You're the last three so let's see to it." He had his servant go up to the first girl and you could tell that he was trying not to laugh, and suddenly the evil step mother put down her staff towards Cinderella.

"Now it is time that you leave young girl as this has nothing to do with you. You obviously could not have been the one to have lost your step sisters show. Scram!" Meaning she pushed her by the shoulder with her other hand, and almost in tears Cinderlla turned away when suddenly a soft voice whispered in her ears. Stay and fight my princess pie. She could hear her Fairy Godmother invisible as she was encouraging her never to give up.

"But wouldn't you feel better if it I tried it on and made a fool of myself?" She asked with a twinkle in her eye.

"No! I said scram! Don't dirty this nice slipper with your dirty maid feet. If you don't leave you can't eat for a week!" The evil step mother raised her voice and Cinderella started walking away because she had no choice.

"Excuse me, but as a request from the Prince every woman that we see must sucumb to his wish. I demand that this pheasent girl with a torn dress try on this slipper! As your daughters will be the first and she will be the last. Of course we know she never wore such a beautiful shoe made of glass, but it is an order of the Prince! So it must be, don't you see?" His servant was insistant, and she nodded her head as to agree.

"Oh you have a point. Let's embarass the girl why not? Now I see! You're a wise one just like me" The evil step mother agreed with a sneer so mean than even her daughters looked genuinely sweet. One by one the evil step sisters tried it on. They both squeamed and they squealed and it was clearly neither of their slippers. Grunting in dissapointment they could no longer pretend and when it slipped perfectly on Cinderllas foot they angrily stomped away and the evil step mothers face turned pale white.

The End.
