The team had started off knowing but rapidly lost the will to want to know

Tess remembered who she was but had no concept of when or where she was. She could sense entanglement, and constraint, sensing a fearful tightening around her chest as she wrestled to take command of her breathing.
Tess wrestled more as she sensed a growing abandonment around her, not recalling what was before now, how she had arrived in this state of mind.
Her mind was a swirling mass of confusion without something, simply anything, to provide her thoughts with a concreteness of what could be defined in some way as human knowledge.
Attempting to sit, something gave way, click!
