Soft Boiled Treasure
A Kentucky Bourbon Tale
By Christopher ThompsonPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Hard-Boiled detective Kentucky Bourbon cracked the shell of his soft-boiled egg and popped the top off. He set the sliver of shell, with its small amount of egg white, aside and leaned forward to peer into the cavernous opening he had just made. His face fell as disappointment took him.
For there it was: nestled inside the egg, where the still liquidy egg yolk should have been. He had found a single golden doubloon.
“Buffalo Nuts!” he cursed as he pulled the coin out and dropped it on the pile beside his chair. “That makes two-hundred and nineteen so far.”

Cute, but I missed the story plot. Maybe I will go searching for it.
